I don’t mind driving a considerable distance for the right boat.   I am not seeing any used Bass Cats on the Bait Shack Marine website.   I guess I will need to call them tomorrow to try to get some pictures and information.

    Thanks for the lead!!!

Hey Guys,… Thanks for all your input into my question.  It is greatly appreciated!  After doing more research and talking with other guys… I have decided to get a larger boat.  Probably going to order a Caracal… possibly a Pantera 2.    I think in the long run I will be much happier with the larger boat….

    Thanks!

Here is a picture of my issue…. again this is the starboard side on the back axial.  The broken line connects the right side to the left side.  I have a new hydraulic hose on order from BassCat.  I am hoping to bleed the brake lines and refill everything on my own.   Any advise on this particular setup would be greatly appreciated.   It appears the lines start from the actuator down the starboard side going from right side front caliper to back caliper then across the back axial to the back port side caliper then up to the front axil caliper.  The bleed screw is located on the port side front axial.

None of the compartments are lighting… they will all flicker on a rare occasion when I turn on the hand rail lights by pushing the accessory #1 button.   I am guessing it may be a ground wire issue ???   But I really don’t know how to trace those wires down or exactly where to start.

Is there a ground wire for every compartment?… or how many and where do I find them?

I’m really hoping to be able to fix this issue… it is very frustrating not having lights in the back battery compartment especially.

A BIG shout out to Jerod at BassCat.   He was able to trouble shoot with me over the phone and with the use of a digital volt meter determine that the security panel button was faulty.   So I was able to connect my accessory #2 panel switch (which was not wired up to anything) to the compartment lighting wire.  Now everything works great!   Accessory #1 turns on my handrail lights, and floor light.  Accessory #2 turns on the rod lockers and all compartment lights.

Very happy with the solution without having to spend hundreds of dollars on a new dash switch panel.

    Thanks guys!

Thanks guys!…. I am going to try to take it.   I do have a bit of an issue with the storage of the boat (not allowed to have boat trailer in the drive or on the street) due to the subdivision regulations.   I did find a covered storage area within 3 miles of where I am staying that rents month to month and they feel confident they will have a spot for me come March (fingers crossed).   Really hoping this all works out!

Thanks for all your insight guys!   I did manage to find another gentleman on a different bass fishing online forum who has the exact setup as mine.  He bought his Caracal new from a dealer and was told they tested a few other 3 blade Raker HO props (in different pitches) and they said the Caracal performed the best with the 14.5 x 25.   As I have mentioned in other posts I am sort of a novice to this quality bass boat stuff so perhaps I was expecting too much.  After talking to a few other guys I am feeling much better about my current setup.   I can get on plane from the hole shot in around 3-4 seconds.

Lebowski, I believe you are correct about the propeller port holes.  The gentleman I mentioned sent me a photo of his Raker HO prop (up close) and his ports are adjusted much more closed than mine.   The Raker HO prop has the Variable Vent Ports system… they can be adjusted with a torx screwdriver.  He states he gets no noticeable ventilation during hole shot.   So I am going to adjust mine some and see what affects it has on my prop ventilation during hole shot.  My ports are currently set wide open.

I would like to be able to cruise at a slower speed without coming off plane,… so I am anticipating that a 4 blade prop will make the most noticeable difference in that regards so I am still considering a 4 blade prop as well (likely 24 pitch)

    Thanks guys!!!

Thanks Bass Cat Boats for the recommendations!….. we will check out those areas you mentioned.  Most likely will not venture to the Headwaters… I am hearing that place is a zoo right now with boaters.
