Thanks John. My carpet was dry this evening and I crawled under the console and sure enough the hose was off. Hopefully Bass Cat will see this post and if they have a better clamp will get one for me. I hope when the hose is back on the speedo works again.

While fishing in Broken Bow Lake last weekend I broke two of the rods trying to get my lures loose. One of them broke in two places. I havent contacted Acadia back yet, but they should not have broken.

I ordered a flippin deck for my 06 Sabre after purchasing it new. I easily installed it myself with only a couple of screws that were furnished by BassCat. I read of one owner who takes his in and out and while the deck is out fills the screw holes with silicon and then knocks the silicon out to reinstall. I like the extra space on the front deck and I dont drop lures where I cant reach then. In addition, the cooler in the Sabre is too small for me and I can put an extra one under the flippin deck. I miss the easy step up to the front deck, but the extra space is well worth it.

We will be close to Branson leaving on Friday. Can you put me in touch with an excellent repair person in that length of time? Or I could leave my boat and pick it up later. Is it safe to use until I can get it repaired? Cell #918-373-0704

How can I arrange the repair with Bass Cat or one of your in house individuals? Bringing the boat to Mountain Home before heading back to OK would be great. Can I fish in it today without penalty? My cell number is above.

Brad- I saw the Puma, but not the P-II but Im sure that you will be superbly elated with his work. Sorry I missed meeting you as every Bass Cat owner I have met has been a great person and a great experience.

I installed a flippin deck on my Sabre myself with no problems. It was easy to do, just make sure you measure twice and drill once. I wish the flippin deck extended the cooler as well. I usually poke a hole in one of the cans when I shut the lid and have to “reload” before the day is done. -Mc

I use the same thing as jignpig on my Sabre. You can get the orange vinyl covered chain at Lowes or Home Depot as well as the attachment links.

I have an 06 Sabre and the flippin deck bolts to the rod boxes but is easily taken out. It does not have a box built in but a compartment door that opens to allow access to the miniature cooler. There is room under it to stash gear, bags, etc. -Mc

Thanks for the help. Ill try the lime away first. I was afraid that SOS or fine steel wool would scratch the chrome. I take it that isnt an issue? Hopefully it isnt Electrolysis as there has been no change since I bought the boat new in late 06 and no wires have ever been switched. Thanks. -Judge Mc

Gary Wright is the fiberglass magician. He did my boat for reasonable cost and uncomparable quality. Better than new. The best. -Judge Mc

If I switch to the Southco locks on my 06 Sabre can I key them so that the same key locks/unlocks all of them? -Judge Mc

I havent been able to find the answer on that website. I suppose Ill call Bass Cat tomorrow but would really like to know today while Im off work. It is an 06 Sabre (150 Merc XR6) and came from the factory with hydraulic steering. It appears low on fluid but I have never filled it before so dont know how full or what type of fluid.

On my Mercury XR6 the retainer cap kept turning and letting the cable come off. You can see it easily after removing the cowling and moving the shifter while you watch. You must have long arms or a buddy. If that is your issue, put it back on and tighten the nut that holds it. It is a fairly common problem with this model.
