Ran the boat today with a new stock 25 fury. Comes out of the hole like a rocket and top speed was 77.2 at 6000 rpm with my tournament load and 2 full tanks of gas and 2 people. Also tried a 28 bravo and it spooled it ok out of the hole but once it hit 73 at 5350 but you couldn’t drive it beyond that. I assume the motor needs to be raised for that prop and it needs to have the barrel shortened.

Thank y’all for the input. He’s definitely going to be looking at a used boat around a 2015 I would say given budget. Man I’d love to have an sts but I can’t really afford it.

I carry about 20 rods in the boat a kvd 40 worm worm bag in the back center hole and my spinner bait and buzz bait box. The rest of my tackle in is in the back hole behind the passenger. The boat is loaded pretty light and it has lithium batteries. What 4 blade do you run @Rich12?

@basscatboats do you have any suggestions? Should I try a different type of prop or dropping this one 1/4” to get more bite? Thanks. Best boat company out there!!

I dropped the motor 1/4” and I’m going back to the lake to try and run it this evening. If it handles  the slop better but still keeps it’s speed it’ll be set how I want. If it handles better but looses speed I will be ordering an atlas from bass cat to get the most of everything out of the hull. I’ll post an update tomorrow. Thank you everyone for the input the bass cat community is always the best.

Hole shot suffered a little not a lot but the back of my boat is fairly light I’m running all lithium. The mid range handling in the excessive slop was exactly what I was looking for. The mid range seams to have as good or better acceleration. There was so much  wash from wake boats I never got to open it up much but for me right now 3 3/4 below pad seams to give me what I want out of my boat. Thank you all again.

You should be able to go through your gauge to the menu then errors and get a more detailed error message on your beleed gauge. Mine threw a code flashing wf went through that menu and it was an oil issue. I had a bad sensor on my oil tank under the motor cowling. How that helps.

Ran a 26 tempest today in super rough water from all these dang wake boat and all I can say is I will be purchasing a 27 tempest. Best handling and ride in the slop the boat has ever had by far.

I had a bravo 1xs 28p that mark croxten turned up a little actually. It would run me 78 or so by myself I saw 77 with 2 people tournament loaded live wells full. I lost too many rpm in the summer though and hole shot was not good when the live wells were full. It was borderline rpm wise when it was cold. I ran a 26 fury before that and I run a 27 tempest a good bit it’s the only prop I’ve cracked 80 with. I’m just curious about any info on these pro max props before I spend more money on something else.

    Randal:

Don’t know about the sho but My Eyra with a 250 pro xs 4 stroke turns 6200rpms with a 24 fury (77-79mph) & 25 tempest plus (78-82mph). Both come out of the hole pretty good. The fury is slightly better out of the hole and cruising at low rpm’s. I have a hydraulic Jack plate and 1/4 inch makes a big difference in each prop’s performance. Hope this helps some.

What height do you run each at? We are running an atlas on this boat.
