Thanks guys, I just got out of a 1993 Javelin 379 DC with a 150 Johnson on it. I used to get beat up following my friend who has a 2009 Triton TR-21 on a windy lake. I am seriously looking forward to a huge fishing deck and a very solid boat. It was between this and a Ranger of the same size and year, and price won the contract. I finally have a respectable boat! Im stoked.- Chaz

I blew the motor on my 1993 Javelin and just bought a used PIV. I got my loan through reclending.com and they added a manufacturers style warranty for $2000. It does have a $100 deductable, but thats a heck of a lot cheaper than a new powerhead. You dont even have to get a loan through them, you can buy the warranty alone.- Chaz

Should be fairly easy to locate with a volt meter or light.Well now I get to add another problem, the brakes arent getting the reverse signal so theyre locking when I am backing now. Didnt used to do that. I may have shorted something. I took apart the light last night and didnt get the plug on top in far enough. Thats the only thing I can figure now. Gonna check the fuses in the truck tomorrow. 2008 silverado w/ towing package. I also know my 5 to 7 adaptors (yes plural because I have an extra one) work because the brakes havent done this before. If its not the truck what would I check on the trailer? Or more pointedly where is the electric control for the brakes. Im thinking the toungue but I dont know what Im looking for.- Chaz

Phil – Got it, it was a fuse for the trailer backing light in the truck. Fuse # 10 if I remember correctly from the diagram. I checked the light wiring and its getting the proper 12v DC. I think I just need a new light bulb.- Chaz

So much for the Tenth Amendment and States Rights. Just as BCB was explaining about the DC Bubble it seems that some people have forgotton the purpose behind the Tenth Amendment and its deliniation of States Rights was in fact to mitigate issues like the DC Bubble to ensure the Republic was truly a representative body of the people and not a group of elected dictators telling the people what they can and cannot do. Im military from Arizona and the most irkful thing I saw this year was people from other states (California most specifically) chiming in about wanting to stop SB1070 (The States immigration enforcement act that was more restrictive on LE than the Federal Statute on the same topic). Weird tangent, but the point is that the EPA should be regulatory to ensure theres no abuse or irresponsible handling of industrial materials as during the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. Sometimes as tswanson said, they go way beyond their bounds because they have an agenda, of which I dont pretend to know what it is, it could be they feel that the general public is ignorant and need to be treated like children. Overall though, I think we all can agree that the best conservationists in the world are outdoor sportsmen like ourselves. No one elses Life, Liberty, or Persuit of Happiness is affected more than ours when ecosystems go down. I will say if a real study that can be proven not to have a political agenda can conclusively say that the small amount of lead we use is harming our most used ecosystems, I will start paying more for tungsten. Untill then, sometimes soft lead just rocks.- Chaz

I had em on my old boats trailer, but I have a lot of really shallow launches and needed the slick bunks to help with launching and recieving. I am still getting used to the BCB trailer and usually am running back and forth to the truck when Im putting in alone to get the boat off the trailer. Just my experience with them. Not bad, but it depends on what your ramps are like and your most used bodies of water.- Chaz

BCB that makes sense. I had a wake from a yacht on the intracoastal come over the bow Sunday. It didnt come over all that much, but enogh to fill the recessed foot control well, I was fishing at the time so unlike being on step and skipping over I rode em out which swamped me a little. Youd think those big ass yachts would slow down, but nope. But my guess is the swamping put water in the bilge and riding down put it all forward which put the water in the compartment.- Chaz

That looks interesting. I was also looking at the seat replacement box in the parts section of the website, but I dont want to fully replace the center seat because my little girl sits there. Question for BCB, has the company ever thought of a Bass Cat center seat that has cupholders in the back of it for when its folded down? Much like the center consoles in trucks. My Silverados center seat is both a cupholder, and a storage console when its folded down. Out of curiosity, how many Cat owners would be interested in something like this?- Chaz

Merry Christmas to you as well. Unfortunately due to the small stature of the fish here a 3.5 average is next to impossible. Give it a few years though. Everyone will be migrating to Back Bay, Virginia Beach again. The grass is coming back and if theres another improvement for 2011 like the one from 2009 to 2010 then Back Bay will be on FIRE! Tight lines to everyone!- Chaz

So if the previous owner had new plugs put in at 300hrs and I have only put about 40 hrs (total 344+-) on her those should be good, right? Then the lower, therms and the computer check and thats it? Easy day. Thanks.- Chaz

nivek wrote: I want to add to my above reply that everybody has told me sometimes less is more when it comes to grinding and filling a small scratch. You should definitely try and buff or sand out scratches before going the gel coat route. Not an issue here, I can already see the glass. I said scrapes but I think gouges would be a better description. The guy at West Marine gave me some filler stuff, I will post brand and exact type when I get home from work. Also I am sending an email to BCB. Thanks for the input. – Chaz
