The only reason I would not build a shop or shed is I think we will be house shopping this next year. My daughter will be moving up from Middle School to Junior High which puts her going to school in the middle of town instead of on the north side of town where we live. I have to drive through town to go to work. Plus the main reason, my wife wants a bigger house. I would rather just stay were we are at because I just see a bigger house as a waste of money since my son is about to go to college.

Some of the reasons I have been looking at a Sabre is cost and not giving up much in speed or size to the Pantera Classic we have now. Since we have no storage on the back deck we will gain some storage. The weight will be less than the any of the newer Panteras which helps on the haul vehicle. The Sabre will fit in any garage.

If I felt like we could swing it I would really be after a Caracal. Its front deck is huge compared to the P2 or the Classic we have. I love the well thought out compartments on the front. The fuel capacity options are great. We would want a belly tank with either the 10 gal or 26 gal side tank to improve hull shot when in shallow water.

Thanks guys. I am at least the 3rd owner of the boat. The valve may have been changed before I got it. SLumpp, I planned on rebuilding it if I replaced the arm, but trying to make sure that is what I really wanted to do. I hate spending money twice because I did not do what I really needed to do the first time.

jignpig they are about 4 hours away from me. I will check with them if we do go the new motor route. It would be a long driveable trip. We would have to stop at Pickwick Lake or Kentucky Lake to make sure everything was working correctly on the way back home. :-)I have seen what you are saying about the 20 yr old boat in the pricing of used boats with newer motors. Thanks for the information on the college fishing.

Yes, stay away from SEI ran one on my 06 225 opti, all I can say is they are a piece of junk!!!! Finally went back to mercury, the performance i got back with mercury was a 100% difference. My whole shot was much faster not a lot of blow out. No positives for SEI. I will not get one of them.

They are several places near the lake. When we do not stay with a cousin we stay at Hummingbird Hideaway. It is on the Mountain Home side of the lake. They are boat friendly and Lou gives one of the better fishing reports for the lake.Norfork Inn is right at Henderson.

TonyCrafton wrote:So I recently bought Pro Tecs boat care products. I am impressed with the tire shine. It made my tires look good. Now I am waiting to see how long it last before needing reapplying.I have an old boat that is bad oxidized that we have bot used in over a year. So I have a really good test subject without messing up my sons P Classic (learning how to use the buffer). Here are a few pictures of my testing so far. I am trying a product I already had and Pro Tec to see how they do. I plan on puting on each companys polish / sealant tomorrow. By the way the NuPaint with a buffer really help clear up my Jeeps headlights. The bottom picture is without anything being done. The Top and Middle picture are two different products being used. Both of them did not get sanded just buffed. 1997 Pantera Classic1997 Mercury 200 EFI 25 Pitch TempestNo Jack Plate

I think I am going to buff each area again before putting each companys sealer / polish on them. Also some better lighting in the morning might help tell the difference. I was taking pictures about 30 minutes before sunset.1997 Pantera Classic1997 Mercury 200 EFI 25 Pitch TempestNo Jack Plate

Our seat is the 3 piece one. It has a storage area under the left and right seat. The middle is the cooler. We have thought about the blue tooth speaker.Funny your son went to Arkansas Tech. That is where my son is saying he wants to go. He want a fish hatcheries degree.1997 Pantera Classic1997 Mercury 200 EFI 25 Pitch TempestNo Jack Plate

Hey jig care if I PM you. I really could use more info about the college fishing. I would like to swap phone numbers with you.I think college is real team tournament fishing and feel like those who can really fish will show it. I am beginning to think high school fishing does not show who really can fish. There are kids fishing with boat captains at the High School World Finals this year that the first day of practice was the first time they had been in the boat together. Not taking away from these kids because they have done good on lakes out of Arkansas, but you have to fish against Steven Brownings and Mark Davis kids on Ouchita and Hamilton. How many way points do they have to go along with the tackle access?1997 Pantera Classic1997 Mercury 200 EFI 25 Pitch TempestNo Jack Plate

Crap I just high jacked my own topic. Pig I know that proud feeling. My son and his partner won a Juniors tournament at Dardanelle a couple of years ago. The beat 2nd by 3 lbs. If they would have had 2nd in the high school division that day 2.1997 Pantera Classic1997 Mercury 200 EFI 25 Pitch TempestNo Jack Plate

bwpI want to make sure I know what I am doing. I do not want to mess up our Bass Cat or any of our vehicles with the buffer. I also want to know how good a product that I can buy locally is to having to order from Pro Tec. 1997 Pantera Classic1997 Mercury 200 EFI 25 Pitch TempestNo Jack Plate

Got lucky finding it. We bought it last year about this time. It sat for almost a month from the day we found it to the day we could go buy it.1997 Pantera Classic1997 Mercury 200 EFI 25 Pitch TempestNo Jack Plate
