Thanks for the reply, that would be great. I would make it a point to get over there to see it. For work Im anywhere from Vero down to Homestead depending on the week and could likely arrange to catch up with you pretty much whenever/wherever you have the time, weekday or weekend.
Yes, that one in Perry is the closest dealer with one it seems. Long haul, but Im considering taking this Friday off to drive and seeing it on Saturday if it is not sold before. Im a bigger guy whos not so young anymore and want to mainly make sure Im not contorting myself to get behind/out from behind the console. If that checks and they have as much fishing room as everyone says Ill be putting an order together in Feb.
Yes, I saw that one in MO. It looks very nice, but not color or rigged how I would order. Thanks for the response.
P4SHO: Ill crawl all over one also at my first opportunity for sure, but going by your username, how do you like the Yamaha on it? Have a non-sho Yamaha 4 stroke on my current boat and intend to get the SHO also. What prop do you run?
Saw several suggest using a timer to periodically switch the charger on during winter storage on another board. i have always left it plugged in on my last two boats (in FL, so no winter storage) without issues, but the thought of a fire, however remote the possibility, has me thinking I might change. Im out of town a fair bit more now also so that makes me maybe a little more nervous about it.
My mother has 200,000+ on a Sequoia and it has been rock solid. Has towed about 4hrs round-trip twice a month since new. Tows very well and she cant be convinced to part with it. Only issue i know of is a wheel bearing at about 175,000 mi. Think its a 2003. Ill be looking closely at one if my F150 ever dies.
I have the Terrova on my P4. Looks like a very similar base. Mounted on MK sliding bracket and it makes a big difference. I have never had it hit the grab pole or roller yet, but have only had it a few months. Here are pics of it extended and stowed.
Nice talking with you Phil. Here are the additional pics. First one shows the locking knob/bolt next to the padlock I use when leaving it unattended. Dont mind Shrek, he just sniffs out fish for me. Hope it works out. I will check my email archives when I get in the office and forward that mounting document Minn Kota sent me if I can find it. They were very helpful. Bracket is MKA-47. Doesnt come with the grip tape, but I highly recommend adding it.
Went through it more than once myself before ordering. Seeing it again made me realize i never added mine.2015 P4:
Im in. Will head over Friday morning.
Any idea how many teams so far?
OK. Is there a gathering or meeting of some sort Friday? Guys at AquaTech said Heritage Park Inn was the place to stay, so Im booked there Friday and Saturday nights.
SuicideNemesis,A HUGE amount of thanks goes to you for making it all happen. I know I speak for more than myself that a good time was had by all.I dont see much need for change unless maybe some might want to move it down the chain a notch. Would probably have to schedule pretty carefully/early to catch a two day stretch at Camp Mack with enough rooms to accommodate though. Probably hard to beat the marina/ramp setup though unless we went all the way down to Okeechobee. Toho might be the shortest drive for most involved anyway by average I would guess.Rob and Aquatech were great and it was good to meet Paul too. Thanks again!
Thanks Dave. I was going to text you the pics today. Just so happens Ill be hitting the big lake Wed and Thurs anyway to prefish with my N. Fl buddy for the Xtreme Classic. Should dull the edge off of missing this weekend out there some.
Hidden damage is what Im afraid of. I have started the claim process with my auto insurer, but I guess maybe I should get my boat insurance agent involved or in the loop at least since they deal with the boat end more. Here are few more pics. I just noticed in one that the bow eye looks bent downward, but it might just be the angle. What I thought was scratches may be cracks, but I cant tell (will be going back to take another look in person tomorrow). The last pic is what it looks like from under the rub rail. There is a gap, but I dont know if that is what it normally looks like under the rail or not. Might that gap indicate something since it is no longer covered by the rub rail, which appears straight from the side view?
