Has this been sold??
Same issue with my 10 Puma. Never use the rear seat at all. Pete suggested that dam and resin trick to me last summer, but I was afraid of getting the resin all over. Thought of using a syringe to get in that small space. I will probably try it this spring.
BCB, so it is not a result of hull flex at the bulkhead as was originally explained. And, if it is the result of a trauma from inside out, that would mean structural repair as the crack would be right through, correct?? I sure wish I had the boat home so I could provide more detail as to size and precise location with respect to rod locker.
Somewhat of a puzzle as there has never been anything in the rod locker except three or four rods, well secured. Pedestal post, fire extinguisher, anchor, are all in the starboard side locker. In any case, getting back to my original inquiry as to how to advertise the boat, the feedback suggests that I repair it first, as opposed to just leaving it.Dennis, thanks, but I am quite a ways from KC.
I just use industrial strength degreaser Zep 505 from Home Depot. Spray it on, let is sit for a few minutes, and hose it off. I have never had to use a scrub brush. You might have to do heavily soiled areas more than once. Takes off all of the black scum. I do it about twice a season, and my compartment is as clean as a whistle.
PAs boat is a real head turner. I really salivated when he first posted a pic of this one.
I am in Ontario, Canada.
Tideman, because my Puma just sold recently, I didnt want to be without a boat now, so I had to take an inventory boat. I actually had my eye on this one since Sherm put it on his web site about a month or so ago. It was already rigged so I had to take it as it was. The Motorguide would have been the only easy swap, but I talked to a friend of mine who, like me, has had MK for the longest time, but switched to a MG last year, and he really likes it. Time will tell for me. My experience with MG quite a while back was not a positive one.GRR884, no, I was not at Sherms on the 20th. I was there last Tuesday.
Bamacat, from my knowledge, a boat buddy automatically locks the bow eye in place when in makes contact. This should prevent slippage back on the trailer if you dont have a partner to snug it up at contact. In fact, in my pics, I was loading alone, and that is why the boat slipped back a little bit when I loaded it. Dont think it would have prevented the gel chipping that I experienced though, if BCB is correct. In any case, 10 days off the showroom floor and this hurts.
In the pics the bow eye is not over the roller. Remember this boat has only been loaded twice, and never powered over. It was gently nudged up.
You are right about left tank being default. The loss of power and default to left tank happen simultaneously as I accelerate.
BCB, going out again to-day and will watch the voltmeter.
BCB, took it out again to-day, fully charged battery, same thing. I did confirm that the loss of power to the 998 at the dash was simultaneous with the default to the left tank, but, also noticed the front graph (958) also shutting down. Happens at around 60 mph. I cant watch the voltmeter because I dont have one (shows you how familiar I am with my new rig LOL). I just have the Beede analogue gauges. I am not an electrical genius, so not sure where to go from here.Jeff, I am having some issues with this new rig, but, hopefully, they can be sorted out. It is an awesome rig, and, even though I have only had it out a handful of times, it does quite a few things better than my previous Cat.
Beautiful rig!!!! Love those new wheels.
Each hose has a fitting that goes into an elbow, and then the elbow connects to the pump. Usually it is the fitting from the hose to the elbow that leaks. After you wipe away the oil from the pump and hoses, if you create some pressure in the steering system, you should be able to see where the leak is occurring. In any case, as BCB suggests, it is best to have a pro do the repair.
