A few months ago, Andy Greene had a access to a fully loaded Sabre in the 24K range that was a dealer repo. In fact, it looks just like the new one on their web site. Go to Greeneboats.com and look at the Sabre he has that is Jade and white under new boats.

While I do not own a Bass Cat, (unfortunately), I do run a FastStrike on my 18 bass boat. In regards to your FastStrike, it needs to turn 5,000 to 5,200 rpms at wide open throttle. If it does not achieve this kind of rs, may I suggest you consider a 22 raker. Previously, I had a ProCraft 1780. The 24 raker would only turn 4900 or so. This engine needs to hit the 5,000 mark. Hope this helps. CEF

For some reason, the post did not save. I plan to purchase a BassCat in the very near future. Selection has been narrowed to either a Sabre FTD or P2. Can the Sabre FTD be obtained w/o Marty Stones signature? No offense, but I dont want anybodys name on the boat I am paying for. Thanks,Carlton

We took delivery of a PII on 1/26/11. My son (and I) absolutely love it, as we are sure you will too. Best Regards,Carlton Freeman (cef1965)

Mike,Prior to purchasing a 2001 PII a few weeks ago, I studied this forum for 2 1/2 years before purchasing BassCat. The forum was informative and most influential to buy this brand of boat. I do not recall reading any issues with the PII anywhere. For a 19 footer, it fishes like a 20 footer. Unfortunately, I can not offer you any pros or cons on the motor. Prior to owning a Mercury, I ran a Johnson FastStrike for 20 years. I hope you enjoy your new toy.Best Regards,Carlton Freeman (cef1965)

The folks at Hideaway are fantastic. Bought a PII from them 1/26/11. On the way home, one of the trailer tires blew. Took the tire to the local Cooper dealer. Cooper dealer would not replace tire under warranty as the inner bead of the tire was damaged during mounting. Called Darlene Sellers (one of the owners). Got an email from her a little later that morning to go pick up my tire. Hideaway covered the tire. Hope BassCat reimburses her. Anyway, Hideaway is a top notch outfit.CarltonBCB Added: Actually this incident on the Cooper bead is in a short tire number sequence. They are taking care of Hideaway and the another also through BCB and by Cooper just to ease your conscience.Last edited by cef1965 on March 4th, 2011, 11:28 pm, edited 1 time in total.

The fastest I have seen with mine is 72. I am running a 25 Tempest Plus prop. I am amazed at the fuel efficiency of this rig. I have been 3 trips on less than 10 gallons of fuel.Carky

IF you would like to run/see a PII prior to purchase, I live 10 minutes away from the south end of Lake Harding (Bartletts Ferry) on the AL side. I would be willing to meet you, and let you run mine. It has a 200 Pro XS, but you would still be able to get an idea. If interested, you can email me at [email protected]. BassCat is the only boat I have run that I would consider giving a potential buyer this offer to. I am extremely well satisfied with the PII. It fishes and handles extremely well.Best Regards,Carky FreemanLast edited by cef1965 on March 30th, 2011, 5:25 pm, edited 1 time in total.
