I live in the North Florida area. Most of the time I am on the St. Johns river. I did just join the board. I waited a little while to get some time on my Eyra prior to making any comments, but I still feel I need a lot more seat time for top end. Other than that she drives like a very impressive race car. I am so used to trimming up on my old boat I cant beleive how little this one takes! When I am on the river the crab baskets are everywhere and they all have bouy marker that you have to dodge around. Its fun now with such a responsive ride.

I had the issue with the surge brakes “clunking” noise. I first thought that I needed to replace worn parts. I was wrong. What was happening was that when I would brake, the atcuator would go all the in. When you go forward then it would pull all the way out and make that clunking sound. The main problem was the brakes had air in the lines. after bleeding them it stopped. It came back after awile. I then realized that the quick disconnect brake line to the removable tongue would allow a little air into the brake line everytime I would disconnect.

Thanks for the advice. I have the 26 fury 3 blade. I know seat time will help. I do wish I could make the OI but cant this year, maybe next year. One of the best things I found was how well it runs in rough water.

I have taken that small block out just to look at what is under it. There is an access plate under there and if you move the foot pedal back there it will not sit flat. Not sure how to deal with that.

I also have a hydralic Atlas jackplate but have barely raised it at all. Maybe I need to try bringing it up higher. What are the thoughts on jack height?

There is a Fill Level Vent Valve in the newer tanks. It is a pressure monitoring device that is in the tank.

How about an anchor? Is that only on coast guard navigatible waters?

I was also curious about how a trophy 4 blade would work on an Eyra, has anyone tried that?

My new BC trailer came with General Altamax RT tires on it. The trailer rides great.

That is true BCB, But I want a Fury 4 blade. I know from past experience a 4 blade will plane the boat faster and I can run slower on plane than with a 3 blade. I will probably always run the Fury 4, once I figure out what I need and then the Fury 3 will be the backup.

I also just got a 2017 Eyra with a Merc250Pro. You first need to follow break in for the motor. There are a couple of articles that will be good for you to read and can be found in the archieves. First one is on chine walking and how to drive it. Another good article is on how to measure propshaft to pad correctly. Everyone will want to know that measurement. If you already know that then you are ahead of the game.

I have always used a wet/dry vac to clean it out. Then I just rinse out the livewell and the shp vac tank with a hose.
