Thanks. Just got home a few minutes ago with my new Puma — the wife isnt going to be too happy when she gets up and finds multiple boats in the driveway! lol Lets see if there are any takers if I drop the price one last time to $25,500

Now I have both, a Puma FTD and a P-II — hopefully will find a home for my P-II soon. The Puma is a beast and very good hole shot to top end. But I have never seen a boat get up on plane as easily as my P-II — 70 plus top end too — no too shaby. That 19 foot hull is so well matched with a 200 Opti.

I miss her already — congrats Brody! I hope you have even half as much fun with her as I did.

How does one measure legit 3.5 or 4 footers when youre zipping along on top of them WOT?

I just sold a 07 P-2 and yours is priced higher but with warranty on the motor and a year younger, it looks like a fair price. Be patient, theres not a lot of P-2s on the market–youll sell the boat making both you and the person who buys it happy campers.Last edited by jpost on June 27th, 2011, 2:33 am, edited 1 time in total.

Nice, old school Cat! Looks like a lot of love and care went into her over the last 20 plus years.

I just got one too and I think its just that HBs basemap doesnt cover every lake well or at all. I was at Falcon yesterday and I had Navionics at the console and nothing at the bow. The unit up front pretty much just showed blue for water.Dont think theres anything you can do but get a Navionics chip.

They came on my new Puma. I havent fished with them but they are pretty bright. I would guess plenty bright enough to make your line glow.

Never been in an Eyra. This is something else you might want to consider — top end, WOT is not what youre going to be driving regularly. Its nice to punch your ride once in a while but no matter how fast your boat is, youre not going to spend much time at the top. What is most important to me is how easily whatever boat you have cruises at a speed. My last boat (P-2) was a low 70s top end boat. But Id say about 50 or so was a comfortable cruising speed on both motor RPMs and ride. 50 felt to me a speed in that rig I could drive all day. With my new Puma (250 XS top end low 80s), Id say low 60s is a comfortable cruising speed.

No doubt by me, go with the bigger screen on a RAM mount at the console. If youre going to get serious with the SI youll be kicking yourself with the smaller screen. And if its in your budget, Id go with the HDS 8 over the 7. If thats too much, a seven will be OK. In my opinion, si on a 5 inch screen is marginally useful at best.
