O.K. let me make sure i understand checking parasitic drain , i need to hook up my multi meter to each connection that goes directely to the start battery inline on the neg side / or pos side ? and total up the mili amps. What kind of usage would be out of line suggesting a problem? As far as model he says its an 03 but i must be confused if it is a PII or a Classic or what i know it has the new style panel like on my 08 couger and the older switches for the pro air. I thought that jumper set up might be a bandaid as it has proven to be , i will try to add up milliamp this evening.

My rpms were not in sequence with those performance # however i have noticed when i stab it and trim up it levels off at 5200 and then slowly creaps up a little somewhere in the low 70s . I have not been in areas where i can just run it and watch the rs / speed / trim nor am i that comfortable driving the chine yet ( sometimes it seems fierce other times non existent) however it seemed to me the rpms jumped higher than that even before trimming up around half on my gauge. So i was just looking for simular set ups rpm # so i can keep an eye on it.There was a dramatic change summer to winter it has gone from blowing the prop easy to not and back.

Thanks Ward i was hoping to here it from you on this one , and no problem on e-tec thing i went out of my way to get one with the blue motor they all have thier issues just what your confident in. Im not sure i will be able to talk the guys at the shop into looking that close without some hard evidence , i might have to run it and make sure i cant get more rpms. What should i see with that setup and where should the rpms start to flatten out??

Mine loose ground through the lid almost every time i fish in a rainstorm . I have been thinking i would try taking the nut and washer off , pack it with di-electric grease and re assemble with as much contact as possible . I would love to hear any bright ideas on this on ? has anyone converted to the new switch setup ?

If you remove the plate that the trolling motor plug goes into you should be able to access ( pull out ) the connection from the lowrance – factory connection . The graph wires are butt connected to a pigtail comming from the acc switch . I have found it easiest to open both plates and take off the clam shell . That will get you started as for re connecting there are lots of variables hopefully some of the experts will chine in .

Yeah in this case the bolts were backed all the way out and one side almost set with the plates flush and the other side is 1/4 below . I raised and lowered it shook the skeg and it wants to stay like that Im wondering what the deal is?

Yeah Billius I am just trying to get a feel for the pro xs I run a HO same rig. I have read yours and others posts on the subject which is what led me to post the question ? This rig is slow on a light load 1/2 fuel one guy some gear , real slow with a tourny load and almost will not plane with wells full it runs alright in the middle but wont through you in the seat when flogged from 4000 . Now we raised the plate to slightly above flush and it would barely run 70 and can feel a ruff running when trimmed all the way down ( I can always feel little stuff when the trim is bottomed out ). It sounds like most are able to run a 26 with a little suffering at holeshot but a beast everywhere else? Curiosa what everyone has to say?

Throttle opening a little over half maybe 2/3 . Im hoping thats the end of that thanks you guys for the responses I just didnt want this guy to start getting talked into changing props and what not diluting the issue a week before he leaves to Texas.
