I had the same problem at the BassCat Tournament in 2005. It would only stay in reverse. Took it to a Local Mechanic and it was in the Lower unit. It was a Shift Crank P/N 823903, that slides the gears to foward/netural/reverse. Part only cost $21.00, but they have to disassemble the lower unit and gears to replace it. Total cost was $295.00. I have a 1997 225 EFI Mercury. Hope this helps. Marion

I bought a Stealth ProPak when they first came out. I installed it on my 1997 Jaguar/225 Mercury. I to have NOT had one minute of any problems. I have never had to plug in a AC Charger.Marion Bass

For all you Diesel Engine owners, checked a Loves today and Diesel now has 5% Bio-Diesel. Talked to some truckers and mileage has dropped and it doesnt burn as hot. My thoughts are to stick with the regular gasoline and diesel and forget all the additives that they come up with. The Feds want to get better MPG on Vehicles, and with Ethanol and Bio-Diesel, there is no way. Marion

I have both the AC and DC chargers since 2003, I also have a 3 battery 36 volt system, and have been very reliable, extremely pleased. I also have not ever had any issues and customer support is great. What is nice about the charger, is that when you are running your big engine the batteries are always been charged. When I go to the Basscat Tournament, I usually stay there for a week and I have never had to plug in the AC charger at the tornament, has been very reliable charger. Marion Bass/Choctaw, Oklahoma

The one I have is Model STS-407, you can get Motion Detection, Smoke Detection, Heat Detection, Carbon Monoxide, Gas Leak detection, vibration shock sensor, etc. I think you would be very pleased as I am, and no monthly fees. You can program to call 6 to 8 phone numbers. Ive had one for about 6 years with no problems at all, no false alarms, very reliable. Cost for one is unbeatable.

I have a 1997 Jag also with a Mercury 225 EFI , powerhead went out, cracked crankshaft so looking for another motor. This boat was rated for a 245 HP. I would love to put a 250 on it. You say you have a new id plate for a 250 HP, where did you get your new id plate? Are you talking about the horsepower rating? Thanks Marion
