Followup on my original post. The Cougar gets out of the hole extremely quickly now that I have learned how she likes. I raise my motor with the jack plate a little and lower it as I take off. Works great.
The top end speed will probably never be utilized by me. 70 ~ 73 mph is plenty fast for me.
