BOSS radio display issues

I have the boss radio system iin my boat and the display wont light up. it has power according the "power" button illuminating once the switch is turned on. i have checked the .5 amp fuse, hit the reset button and cleaned the connections but still nothing.any suggestions?

Stereos in boats are notorious maintenance and replacement issues. They are subject to moisture and failure. The stereo is Sony, ProSpec, or Clarion or another brand like Kenwood. It is not a BOSS by brand and if it is then we probably did not install it.
