Lake Conroe Guides

Anyone know of some good guides for Lake Conroe? Id prefer someone with a Bass Cat so my son and I could fish out of another model Bass Cat also. Thanks.

I know a few but only one has a bass boat “Ranger”, the others use center consoles.

Conroe was once the hot bed of the Sotuh Texas market for bass guides with Rick Clunn, Randy Fite, Zell Rowland, Harry Grubbs, Billy Mills, Dave Fenton, Robert Tucker and many more guiding there out the Montgomery area. The 1980s failing oil business and th eradication of grass in Conroe eventually smacked what was a lucrative income for those guides there. The market never returned to what it was before as executives did half day trips with clients before the 1980s oil and Savings and Loan scandal era.

Thanks, I can seem to find guides about everywhere except Conroe. Ive seen a couple with pontoon boats and center consoles. It doesnt have to be a a Bass Cat, just wanted the opportunity for my son to fish off one of the larger models. Hes going out on a Puma this weekend so hell get a good feel of that boat. Thanks.

I live on the lake and fish it regularly. There are really no full time bass guides. If I was going to book a trip with anyone for bass, it would be Butch Terpe or Richard Tatsch.
