Drain plug for cooler?

I have a 2011 PII, is it possible for me to get a solid rubber plug for my cooler? I am bad about busting cans on the metal top on the factory plug. As of right now, BCB owes me (4) Pepsi, (3)Diet Mt Dew, and a few others in a blue can that I wont mention! Do I have any options, or do I just need to be more careful?Thanks!

This is a new one, though we suspect this issue is more the lighter cans of recent years than it is the cooler plug. The cans today are way lighter than a few years back, and extremely lighter than when they were introduced in soda and beer cans going back to before many here were born. Home Depot has rubber plugs for stoppers with no handles to tighten them. This one would make a pretty good do you remember your first can of soda/beer?

OK thanks! You are right about the cans, I work for Anheuser Busch, know all about that! I will check around for a plug, and work on being a little more careful! Thanks again!

This is what i use on my Saber. Go to a hyd. shop that rebuilds pump along with your plug for the boat and they should be able to help you.Or try a auto parts store.

Most any hardware store carrys rubber stoppers in the fasters isle.

Most likely the cans are getting busted from the bolt hanging through from the latch. I know mine was. I got a rubber cap, pressed it over the bolt and have not lost one can since. The cans bouncing around in there and hitting that bolt is deadly on cans.
