Or at least it cools off a bit? I suggest you get Bill Siemantels new video Swimbait Techniques for something to get the fishing juices flowing again. There are probably more fish catches on this video than any I have ever seen! I actually picked up several pointers which are well done. They did not show much of his PIV and at times old Bill gets pretty cranked up but very well done video.

To hot to fish in Tennessee? You should be here in Texas. They say the feels like should be 106 tomarrow. Here you put your rods in the rod locker just to keep them cool. If you pick one up you had on the deck for a while you have a hard time holding on to it. I have dipped some in the lake just to cool them off. I keep a towel and ball cap in my cooler and keep swapping them out. Thats Ok though Oct will be here soon. you can keep the white stuff and hard water.

Clean and re-line your reels, change hooks on old baits, wash each cork handle to make look like new. Probably can think of a lot that needs to get done!!BAYOU BANDIT

try down here in fl. Water in the upper 80s or worse. Somehow the better anglers are still getting close to 30lb or better on a 5 fish limit. Not me

You tell them Mr. Desk Job. Just kidding. I totally agree it is hot with all these days over 110 degrees but nothings better then taking a dip (or falling) in the lake when it is 110 or more and the water temp is in the 90s. Right now at 6 am Saturday it is the coolest it has been in over a month and a half. Its raining outside and it is 80 degrees with a high expected of only 94 degrees and rain most of the day. But “Its a dry heat” right. We will be out on the lake tomorrow, high expected of 100 with isolated showers all day. What to do when its too hot to fish? Spend several hours at the new local BassPro Shops we have here now. We have been over a 100 14 days this month in Birmingham. We are 25″ below our normal rainfall. Everything is dying around here. It looks like we have fall color already but the trees are dead. Water levels on most lakes are already below winter pool. We hit 105 thursday. Dont know how those guys are praticing football in this heat. Chet

floridaj were are you at in Fla ? I was raised up in Inverness. Worked and belonged to the Ocala bass club.I have been in TX for now for 27 years. been back to Fla several times hauled my boat and did some fishing. When it used to get hot there we used to fish the rivers allot.St Johns, Withalacochee, ect. Are the lakes still low there?

I fish the Everglades. 110 is hot but do you guys have to worry about being eaten?

OH yea we got some of them in Tx also. I have seen plenty in the 12 to 15 class. They are pretty much the same here. just give them some room in the spring time. and if you see / smell any dead hogs on or near the bank stay away from them it is most likely there lunch and they get grumpy when you get close to there lunch. For the most part you can scare them off buy raising your trolling motor and making a bunch of noise. As of late kayaks are all the rage here. These guys are either real brave or real stupid. I have seen them in 10 plastic Kayaks in waters infested with 10-12 gators. No doubt we will be seeing it on the news someday and of course it will be the gators fault.
