Topic: prop wah out

I tryed a new prop on my 04 cougar today and when I got up on plane it would wash out or spin free for a secound. I have bin runnig a 27 trophy. But tryed the 26 to see how it would run. Ran fine after I got it up on plane and after the wah out. But was woundering if there is somthing I can try to get rid of this. The prop has plugs in it that are 3/4 the way oppen. Any advise would help thank you.

Medium plugs every other whole and the others open. I am slinging a 25 tempest of a 150 yamaha 197 boat. Whole shot could be better, but I just give about half throttle and turn a little to the left. Depending on your climate right now. Our water is very warm

You can regulate the “ventilation”, which what that prop wash is, by either adding a propeller ring to the hub, or smaller ventialtion holes, or both.Those PVS holes are a part of it, though a vent ring might be all you need we think. Your 27 probably has a vent ring, and it will fit that 26 hub.BCB
