When the boat was new it ran in the 80+ mark. We dont think that any of them will run 80s loaded. We think that 75 to 77 is a good expected range. We dont remember the exact combo on it that ran empty best, though it was almost bone dry empty in all respects. In time boats change, as does your car or truck. Things age, and sometimes they just age. Though in boats they gain a bit of weight from moisture in foams and carpeting, pieces of dirt in carpeting, and more as they age. This boat was well cared for and it will continue to run well. Though boats run best usually right after they are broken in new. The engine is loose and tight on the blow by, no extra weight in the boat from add ons, trash and other pick ups on overall weight. We think that knowing the boats care it could well run over 80 still, though not loaded. It would run with fuel and 2 people over 80 new, though we never had more than a couple of extra props in it. Gear does sequentially pull all boats down, and has a greater impact on those faster ones in percentage of impact. They are still faster, though they also loose more with added weight. Our hope for this one would be the 75 to 77 mark. And we would run either a 27 or 26 Trophy on it. It may have had a 28 new, though now the other ones may run a wee bit better. Unless its till has a 28 and hummms. BCB
