HDS 12 & 9 signal at the bow!

Ill try not to screw this up!! I have a HDS 12 gen3 at the console and 9 at the bow, OK !! What I want is a independent structure signal from the 9 straight down. I had a conversation with Mr. Stuart Malone at the plant, he suggested that I put the 12 on stand-by, which I did, then put the source mode on the 9 to itself, which I did, results that the structure signal goes blank! Revert back to the 12 and put that as the source unit then things are fine … Graph wise, meaning no issues! with the exception of the bow signal. Did I miss something Stuart related to me or do I need a different transducer or what?? Got a e-mail in to Lowrance, waiting for a replay from them??Anybody??Got another friend of mine here at the lake experiencing the same and wants the same as me! A structure signal at the T/M straight down from there and not the transom!

Are you wanting structure straight down (down imaging) or sonar. What transducers are on the trolling motor and plugged into the 9. Same for the 12? Sir, You assume correctly, structure signal straight down from the T/M, the sonar is fine. At the T/M is, per build sheet HDI-2, Shield saver. And per the build sheet, Transducer,Lowrance DI front. Rear,DI & SI.I understand the question, trust me! Just not sure if Im doing something wrong or what??

At the console unit and do the following:Go to settings, thenClick sonar, and finallyTurn network sonar offThen go to bow unit and do the following:Go to settings, thenClick sonar, and Click installation, and finally Click transducer typeSelect HDI 83/200 455/800hz if that is DI only transducer on the bow and not structure scan transducerNow go back to home screenClick structureClick view and make sure down is selectedThat is how I resolved issue you are having.Last edited by mojorig on June 9th, 2016, 8:23 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Im confused know . By turning the network sonar off. This makes the units not linked.right? Will he get interference from the back transducer?. While in the structure screen, to the side panel, choose “this unit” (pretty sure the choice is in this screen, but may be under “menu”). Towards the bottom on the side panel under view, in the structure screen, chose down. If you are networked together (eithernet connected and it sounds like you are), you can change the view of that unit to either transducer and also change the gps to pull from either unit.Jones Trolling Motor Services870 773 3474Motorguide/MinnKota/PowerPole/Lowrance/Humminbird

I had to turn network sonar off becuase when I changed my bow transducer to make the DI, it would change the back and vice versus. When the back changed, I lost SI so I would have to change it back when I was at the console. So far, everything else is shared except for transducer. Again your DI isnt working becuase your transducer type is set to unknown and not to the correct transducer. Ivan worked with me to get mine corrected.

Guys, as much as we love helping Everyone, on your graphs… we are not Lowrance and they have online help also. Please use their 800 number when you have a question. Often we have to work through it by asking someone, or by working through a unit ourselves. The Lowrance staff has details right in front of them we dont and a lot more seat time with the buttons configuration.

Try factory resetting both units, then before starting setup, be sure both units are on, and go through the set-up process again. This may be the easiest way to do what youre wanting to do.
