Bass Cat vs Ranger

Well we had our local fishing show and more Bass Cats were represented then that of “that other company” It was impressive to say the least. Since I have purchased my cat, friends around me have shown more interest because of one thing Customer service that BCB has to offer. Friends if you dont own a bass cat and are thinking about jumping on board, I can tell you that you will not be sorry. My best friend is a die hard “that other company” boat freak and after fishing several tournaments with me is now looking to buy a bass cat. It was an easy sell based on the customer service. I am in business and in business I stand for products I believe in, my lord and savior, my family and Bass Cat. Tight Lines

I have rode in just about every brand of boat made and Bass Cat is the best in my opinion. I owned another brand before getting into a cat and i can honestly say i couldnt ask for a better and more reliable boat or manufactuer. I have combed my boat from one end to the other just observing how much detail went into building a great machine. BCB is 2nd to none they build some fast, good riding and most of all tough rigs. If your in one of those boat made in flippin i hope you have some tough kidneys… JMO

Still, it is amazing that two of the top boats(and the only two to win JD Powers awards) are based in North Arkansas. There is another bass boat manufactured up there as well, Legend. In my case I fish out of only 2 boats #1 is my 1999 Jaguar #2 is my fishing partners 2006 Z21 Ranger. My Jag is drier & smoother in rough water and even thou he has a Yamaha HPDI 250 my Jag with a 225 Opti will out run him by about 6mph. He has got me beat on storage, fishing is about even. I do like his dash/instruments better that digital on my Jag. When you run down the lake at speed in the Ranger with the “little” windshields you nearly get blown out of the boat, when you are in my Jag you can get behind the windshield and dont even have to worry about your cap blowing off. Trailers are in favor of Basscat period, the spare on a Ranger is sticking up on the side which is both a eyesore & in the way. The front jack is very hard to get to and even harder to operate. With all things equal if you ride in both boats in a 30 mph wind there is no comparsion. Johnny (OFG member)
