HDS Live & Garmin Panoptix

Quick question for the forum. If I decided to use both the HDS Live and Garmin Panoptix Livescope, connecting both transducer bundles to the trolling motor, 1 connected to the bottom and 1 up on the shaft of the trolling motor, will both units operate correctly? Will there be interference created by the units being close together?

Interference typically happens when two units are using similar frequency bands. There are some times when resonance frequencies or sympathy frequencies are an issue but that is rare.

Try it out and if your screen has too much noise when one or the other is on then try adjusting the frequency of one or the other. Personally I would keep a log of adjustments so you avoid confusion. Remember that you can always “reset” both units and start again.

Do you have a picture of the trolling motor shaft with everything connected?

Most interference will come from the trolling motor in this case as the pulse module system is on top of the graph frequencies.

Not sure about the hds live. But i run a hds gen 3 with a hdi transducer on the bottom of the motor and a garmin livescope on the shaft on a fortrex. I get no interference

I’ve run the Lowrance 3in1 transducer and the HDI along with a Garmin Livescope, on both an Ultrex and a Ghost. They did not interfere with each other, for me.
