Motorguide Tour Pro Issues

Hi, I have the new Tour Pro and it is paired with a Hummingbird Helix 12 Mega 12 Di. It does not seem to work with the built in universal Motorguide transducer. I can only get a poor bottom reading on the Airmar medium transducer setting and no Down Imaging. This is not the correct setting but none of the other ones even get a bottom reading. I have tried to set the frequency settings on each of the transducer options but to no avail. I am not the best with electronics but this should not be this difficult. Any help would be appreciated. By the way this is a new 2021 Bass Cat and came this way from the factory. thanks in advance.

Worst case scenario you have to run a clamp on transducer instead of the internal model.

Tested mine yesterday(Garmin 106SV) and it worked as well as any other 2D and DI transducer I have ever seen.

I’m having the same issue with mine. Same setup but mine is an SI unit. I can’t get down imaging to work at all. I have played around with the transducer settings and have found the hummingbird 200hz let’s the sonar work but no DI. I’m also receiving interference from time to time when the motor is running but it’s not constant. I’ve been trying to figure this out for awhile but haven’t been able to find an answer. Starting to consider an external transducer but kinda defeats the purpose of getting the built in sonar. Other than this the motor has been great. 🤷‍♂️

Not a Hummingbird guy, but wouldn’t you need an DI unit to have down imaging?

SI units will do both side and down imaging.

Still having the same issue. question on the setting. Are you using the hb 83/200 setting or the generic one. Also ordered a new connector cable from the built in motorguide to the Helix Di gn4. thinking the cable i have might not be the HD plus one. I will keep you posted. Also what setting are you using on the frequency and the start and end frequendcy setting. Thanks Joe Riley

HB 83/200 or 50/200. Both of these seem to work best. I tried the different generic settings but it didn’t seem to work as well. I’ve been using high/medium frequency. Sometimes it works great and sometimes it has lots of interference. Please keep us posted on the cable.

Been talking to Transducer Shield and Saver, they are now making a conversion bracket for attaching a 360 Mega Live to a Tour Pro. Have one on order…looks good.
