2008 Optimax Pro XS 250hp -300 hours – never a hitch – spring start up fired right up 1st time – stored inside always, heavily serviced, fogged, gas removed each year, gas additives always, greased, lower unit service couple times a year – new outer shaft seals this year – runs perfectly – just started only firing when you are releasing the key – won’t fire if you just keep holding it on.
Subsequent times the fire up is only when you release the key, it just keeps turning over if you hold it.
I am leaning toward a new starter solenoid but has anyone had this issue? What was your experience?
