Sounds like you are over trimming. Here’s a little explanation on trimming a BassCat copied doing a search on the forum. Explains the trimming process very well.
With a BCB, Throttle is power, and trim is speed. Come out the hole, keep power WOT, slowly bump up your trim once the boat has leveled off and picking up speed. When you have the right amount of trim, you will feel the boat lift and get on pad. If you overtrim, you will actually lose speed. Also watch your water pressure. Seat time will help.
one thing I’ll add is trim in small bumps. With WOT when your boat stops accelerating add a bump of trim and wait until your speed stagnates then add another bump of trim.
