Question/Some help:I was fishing a Tournament Sunday and got to my first spot and all of a sudden The horn/alarm system went into continuous sound. I could smell hot/melting rubber. Jumped to back of boat and pulled the hot wire off the starter battery to shut it off. We then figured out that by disconnecting the hot wire off the wire panel directly behind the starter battery we could keep the alarm system shut down but also loss pump-in and pump-out ability to our live wells plus bilge pumps. Ended up filling the livewells buy hand and aerator and recirc. were working okay. I thought maybe something got wet from the speedo tube leaking and figured that once it was dried out it would be okay. So far not the case. Something has dead shorted. Its a 3-1/2 hr. drive for me down to Bens Brook Cove Marine, so first want to see if there is anything I can do to fix the problem with out making a trip.
We assume this is a 2003 through 2006 Pantera IV model. Please contact the Service Dept at BCB and they should be able to assist you. It will probably be a simple plug and play thing, though they will need more information. There are differences between the model years of all models and to best help we need your model year. BCB
Model Year is 2006. I will try calling when I get home from work which will be around 5:00 PM NY Time.
Thankyou BCB for the quick response. I called and service has fixed me right up. Everything should be up and running by the weekend. I have a tournament on the St. Lawrence River this weekend and Im the Tournament director for the club. Smallies are stacked up in the river and their tuff to keep alive. Thanks Again
Just to let you know the Alarm panel that was being sent hasnt arrived yet. Managed to win my tournament today without it. Cool day with water temps in the low seventies. Major cold front went through lastnight and hurt the fishing for today. I still managed 17 + lbs of smallies all alive and released alive. Plus my non-boater had just short of 15lbs on his side of the livewell. Testament to your aeration and recirc. system, since I couldnt pump in or pump out fresh water. I did keep adding fresh water with a small pail when I wasnt catching fish.
You should have had both aerator and recirc pumps. The aerator pumps work off the valve when it is set to fill, they fill at 40 to 60% freshwater. The recirculator only recircs. The freshwater in and pump out are tournament features for culling, as you can refill your wells faster, and also a back up pump. You can read more on this in the FAQ section. We will inform the shop on your alarm piece not arriving. BCB
Part showed up yesterday. Pluged in and everything works fine. Orginal panel on its way back today. Thankyou
