I have owned 2 cougars and a P2. The P2 being a 19 foot boat does not do as well as a Cougar, which is a 20 foot boat. Quite honestly when I went into a Cougar I was shocked at how much better that boat did in waves versus the P2. I have ridden in a Jag, and the new Puma. Both are big boats and both handle waves well, as does the Lynx. If money is no object my vote is for the Jag. That boat is amazing. The new Puma and Lynx are very good as well. All in all it does depend on the water you fish, what type of fishing you do, do you fish off shore or do you fish docks and the shoreline. A P2 is hard to beat for a boat that handles shorelines, docks and cuts. The Cougar handles both offshore and big waves as well as having the ability to go into and out of cuts and docks fairly well. If it was me looking again, which eventually I will be I would be getting into as many different models as I could under as many different conditions. Then add in how much stuff you put into the boat, as well as people fishing out of it. Enjoy the hunt for your boat.
