Home › Forums › Bass Cat Boats › Come join us fishing in Mexico! Now 2 – Picachos and 6- Comedero left
Join Rick and some of the staff on a trip to Mexico. The crew at the NTC will be competing for a trip to Lake Comedero, Mexico this go round. Ron Speed, Jr. gives Bass Cat Owners a significant discount booking this trip and its a wonderful experience. We have done four NTC trips with Ron Speed and everyone had a blast!
The trips to Mexico have opportunities for guests. We have booked two trips to Mexico in 2020. One is the NTC Trip and we have 12 openings for Bass Cat Owners and Friends to join us on that trip with Ron Speed Adventures. Comedero was recently totally refurbished and opened a couple years ago for fishing. The fish and large and strong and fishing is an awesome experience.
Picachos – January 24th through January 28th
Comedero – February 28th through March 3rd
The second trip is the Picachos Trip and this is just for fun. Join us for this one and it is an absolutely wonderful couples trip where we spend the final night at El Cid Resort, on the beach in Mazatlan.
The food and atmosphere on this trip is very hard to match.
Set these up on your Christmas list and let’s all go to Mexico!
This is going to be fun.

I want to join in on the Picachos trip.
What do I need to do?
Corey S.
The Picachos Trip is booking pretty solid and there are about 10 chairs left. Give Bill Mullins a call at Ron speed Adventures and he will set you up. They have a travel agent that will work on the flights and night in Mazatlan at the El Cid.

Please help me clear things up.
Fly into Mazatlan on the 24?
Group meets up for transport to the Ron Speed. I see there is a charge for this, based on 4 people. I will be traveling alone.
Fish 3 days and we return to Mazatlan and stay at El Cid. on the 27.
Depart Mazatlan on the 28
All of those in the “group” fly out together from DFW into Mazatlan on the 24th. We will depart together from DFW meeting at the airport. We stay together through the trip unless some make other arrangements for fishingnelsewhere and two teams are. Ron Speeds group picks us up for transport as an entire group, which will require 3 vans.
Yes, we Fish three days on the 25th – 27th (Sat, Sun. and Monday) driving back into Mazatlan on the 29th for dinner. One group is staying longer and going to another lake, which as a single you could join them and we could connect you if you choose. Otherwise we depart together on the the 28th and BCB will make arrangements at El Cid for airport transportation. Then in DFW awe all split to our destinations on the 28th.
The same arrangement for Comedero other than we do not go to Mazatlan and go direct to the airport from the camp for departure. That is one of two reasons Picachos is the couples style trip. The evening dinner and El Cid Resort on the beach and the Accommodations at Picachos. That and Chino’s a Great host with wonderful food at all locations.

Thanks for all the information. I want to
go. I call Ron Speed and spoke to them
about coming. They sent me to Martin
travel agency. Just need the information
to get in the group. For the flights and
such. Please provide the contact
information.
Cant wait till January now.

It’s looking like Picachos is filling up and we will have room on Comedero still.
I will be going on the Comedero. Talked to Bill this morning and he is sending me out a packet. Tight lines in Mexico come February.
Comedero is 50% full and if your interested there are still a few left.
Do I book the trip to Comedero through Ron Speeds? I want to go ahead and book everything now so I do not have to worry not getting to go on this
trip.
Bill Mullins at Ron Speed Adventures and Rick are working hand in hand to assemble the list of those going. Bookings are through Ron Speed Adventures and he will inform us you have made arrangements.
We would be glad to answer any other questions you have. They are both bucket list trips.

Please send me a break down of the trip for Comedero. I want to get it all purchased now so I do not have to worry about any of it. Like flight dates,
times and number out of Dallas. As well as anything I need to set up the room at La Cid. Not sure if there is a discount with the group.
I plan on going to The Classic once we get back from Mexico. Who will be attending there this year? The BassCat booth is always the first stop every
year I go to the Classic. This will be my 11th or 12th year to attend in a row.
We will be in Birmingham after the trip for the Bassmasters Classic.
Comedero – February 28th through March 3rd
The trip begins from your home airport and everyone gathers in Dallas at DFW for the outbound flight to Mazatlan.
They (Speed) use Martin Travel for all travel arrangements and that keeps everyone together. Comedero is easy on the trip as you book with Ron Speed Adventures and they pick us up at the Mazatlan Intl. Airport, commuting to the camp directly with one security stop. Once at the camp everything is handled and we stay four (4) nights in camp, fishing Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Tuesday they transport everyone in camp directly to the Mazatlan Intl. Airport and we await our outgoing flight to DFW. Everyone separates at DFW and goes their separate ways. Tips in camp range around $100 USD cash for service, guides are tipped at $20 USD cash per day per person and the transportation will be appx. $150 USD cash for Comedero, estimated.
All food is Camp is three meals a day with beverages of choice.
You bring clothes, rain gear, sweat shirt, tackle and reels. Avon Skin So Soft is HIGHLY suggested to prevent Noseeums, should they be out. They never been a serious problem however this trip is a month later. Snacks should also be brought as there are no snacks in camp or on the boats. Beverages are provided in camp.
That should cover the details.
