I have a new 2026 Eyra SP with a Fury three blade 24 P prop. I have all plugs removed. When taking off, I have the bobs jack plate set at 2 on the indicator and have the motor trimmed all the way under the boat set at zero on the trim indicator just as I was instructed. If I take off full throttle from a dead stop, I am stargazing up at the sky for for quite a while before braking over. It seems the prop is slipping quite a bit during the process and the bow is pointing up more than I am used to. I have tried letting off throttle a bit to let the motor RE-bite before getting back in to it. I cant say that really makes much difference. This is my first Bass Cat so I am very new to this learning curve. lol Do I need to do anything different when taking off? Less throttle maybe? Plug one or all the holes on the prop? Different setting on the jack plate?
I might should also say that I have a full lithium battery setup and both my rear compartments are empty. Running the front compartments fairly light as well. I would classify the front as light to medium loaded.
Also, after she does plane out, is there any need to mess with the jack plate, or can I do everything I need just by making slow adjustment to the engine trim? Does anyone set and forget their jack plate, or do most people fine tune it just like they do with their engine trim during the driving process?
Thanks for all the help, I am loving the boat so far!
