Dual power pole battery disconnect switch

Installed dual power poles and put one lighted rocker switch on the positive lead, for both pumps, for a disconnect. When I turn switch on, the pumps blink red(low voltage) and the rocker switch light pulses with the pump LED. The switch is a Carlingswitch bought at local marina and looks similar to master switch and rated at 20A. I bypassed the switch and everything worked. Disconnected one pump from the switch and other one still blinks red. So bad switch? Do you need two switches for dual poles?. I looked for amp draw info on the pumps but found nothing. I built a nice switch mounting bracket and the install looks good so I dont really want to scrap it and put a giant perko disconnect in just yet. Thanks!

Mine do the same initially. I tap each down button once at the start of the day on the pumps and its over. I have seen others do this. Ill ask an expert I know whos poles were doin the same. I have duel PP and I installed 2 rocker switch, had all kinds of issues, in the morning when cold they wouldnt deploy, when they hit top or bottom the pump kept going had to re-hit the switch, called PP they told me to update the software now all is good, you may want to try that.

Ward that is correct, pretty easy to do.

I had to run a switch for each pole. It wouldnt work with one.

New Software, i also found out that if it is cold the pumps will act goofy, so when its cold in the mornings (below 30) ill usually run the pumps up for 10-15 sec and it warms them up and after that they will work fine.

They are sportsman IIs so no smart phone app. Im not sure how I would upgrade software. They just came from power pole and I would hope theyre up to date. I tried only one pump wired through the switch but still got the blinking red light on the pump. When the red light is blinking, the pump will not run. Bought a new non-lighted switch and now both pumps work – all on one switch. The only problem now is that one pump continues to run after double clicking the FOB to bring the poles up. It stops on its own when going down but continues to run after lifting up. Sounds like a software issue? It is only on one of them.
