easy view tackle system?

Are there any of you out there using this tackle system under your compartment lids? If so Im curious as to how you installed it. I dont want to screw into the lids beside maybe where the Rib is I guess. But the underside of my 2011 Puma Ftd has a thin foam coating under the lid. The other method to mount this system is with adhesive and Im not so sure that would work well on that foam padding. Any thoughts or pics of yours installed? I may still get a couple of those as well, but still the same question about mounting it to the foam.Thanks in advance for any suggestion or advice.

This has been discussed several times and most recommend the Cooks system primarily due to the Easy View rusting. I have the Easy View on my 92 Sabre and at the time I had not gotten any rust, but since the last time we discussed it, I now have rust. The adhesive did not hold long at all. The lids on my old rig are different but I used some short screws directly into the lid with no problems. Hopefully somebody with a newer rig will come along and give you a better idea. ….I had no trouble with installation. Just drilled pilot holes, and used the screws from the package. Not long enough to come through the lid. Love the Cooks system, have installed and used in my last two boats, and have had no issues.Mike Whitten

ANN, WORM, AND I INSTALLED THE COOKS IN THE ROD LOCKER WHERE I STORE MY RODSI PURCHASED 4 OF THEM…I USED BOTH THE ADHESIVE AND THE SMALL SCREWS WITH NO PROBLEM.I BELIEVE THE ADHESIVE WOULD HAVE WORKED BY ITSELF,BUT USED THE SMALL SCREWS ANYWAY….I WAS TOLD BY DARYL COOK THAT THEY MAY NOT WORK INYOUR ROD BOX. THEY WORK PERFECT AND DO NOT INTERFERE WITH YOUR RODS AT ALL.I USE THEM FOR BUZZ BAITS AND SPINNER BAITS..THEY DO NOT FALL OFF EITHER…AND DARYL COOK WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO MAKE SURE I WAS HAPPY..CALLED ME AFTERTHE INSTALL TO SEE IF I WAS SATISFIED…..I DID NOT HAVE TO DRILL WITH A BIT..JUST USED THE DRILL ON THE SMALL SCREWS THEMSELVES…..

Thanks for the input and links. Like I said I had the Cooks in my two previous boats and liked them. Was just thinking of trying something different this time, or doing a combination of the two systems. Im hoping I can glue directly to the padded lid without any issues. I really dont want to screw into the lids the way these are if I can help it. I also saw some good looking homemade rigs similiar the the cooks but made out of aluminum angle bar.
