Hi All,
I’ve been lurking for years now since getting my first bass boat 5 years ago. My issue is my throttle cable broke and I replaced it on my own, but in doing so, I used my old cable as a fish tape as most people would. will being on the water yesterday to make sure the controls work, water was coming in from the drain in the livewell soaking everything. I do not tourney fish so the livewell area is used for storage. the only thing I can think of is that when I was pulling the new cables, it might have dragged cable for the empty / auto switch a bit. I moved the toggle switch back and forth but water would still trickle in. I just stuffed a towel in the hose fitting to stop the water from coming in. I just ended up going to the hardware store on the way home and making up a plug for the intake, I assume its the one with the screen on it. Does anyone ever had this problem? the FlowRite switch just has the empty / auto on the face of the dial. Any input would be appreciated.
