A couple of things that I would try before pulling the unit out and sending it to Bird. First thing would be as BCB suggested, and that is to go into the settings and restore the factory defaults. Second thing to try, if you have a front unit, is to do a swap. Take the head unit from the bow and try it with the dash transducer. That will tell you if the issue is the head unit or the transducer. If you dont have a bow unit, perhaps you have a buddy who has a comparable head unit or transducer that you can borrow to do some testing.
