I will do my best to try and answer ya’ll in order as I saw them.
557 – Yes, the 08 Cougar FTD redesign is the new boat.
basketman – there were no changes that were mentioned at the meeting to those model hulls.
Mike Lucas – The Puma is running at high 70’s with the 250ProXS. The one I drove today was impressive, the seems to ride better and picked up a little bit more speed. It also seems more stable at rest…these are just my observations on a short ride I took today.
Scott – Yes, the 08 Cougar FTD does have lighted handrails.
basscatbat – Yes, there will be 2 model Cougar’s in 08. The Cougar Advantage is going to be the old model Cougar FTD with the Pantera Classic/P2/Sabre consoles. I drove one of them today and the large guys are going to LOVE the room between the steering wheel and seat. The 08 Cougar FTD is the boat pictured above.
rlb8s – Yes, there is a step up cooler and a cooler under the seats. The underseat storage didn’t change a bit from what I could tell.
As Doug mentioned this boat is AWESOME!!!! The lift in this hull in incredible. I rode in a 225HO and a 250ProXS and while they are both fine rigs that ProXS is faster (most people can figure that out) and with 1 guy and just gas and livewells I heard a few broke 80 with it. I was planning to put my Puma up for sale in January with plans to replace it but today changed my mind. I might have to put it up for sale early This boat is amazing.
I have more information on other stuff that I will post in a separate post to keep them different but I just can’t keep telling ya’ll how sweet this thing is.

Here is a picture of the basin and you can see the bouy holder up against the wall. They also have a cool new cover for the plugs and switches.
