Dude, I’m all about that new Cougar! I like that deck layout much better!!! What’s strange is I’ve been thinking about that triangular livewell design myself for sometime! To me it makes perfect sense. I told someone that idea a while back and they looked at me as if I was a real idiot! I feel much better now!
I especially like the traction pads on the front bow area.
One complaint on my P-III has always been the awkward step-in for paasengers while trying to come aboard from the dock after launching and parking the tow vehicle.
Is there more capacity in those triangular livewells?
There is an approximate 4 to 5 gallon gain in water per livewell.

Yeah, it actually kinda looks a lot smaller to me from the pictures. That’s one of the big things I really like about my ’04 Cougar. The livewell is big enough for stripers or walleye or even a big catfish if I want.
(For walleye and striper I either release or put them straight on ice, but there have been a couple times when I’ve gone on a bass outing with the kids that turned into a striper outing.) LOL.
