Okay guys, Just had 2 buddies return from Ky lake. They fished from the Canal to south of the 68-80 bridge. They tried everything from flipping brush to the ledges… Now please keep in mind that they are not pros by any stretch of the imagination. They said that they had a blast! Guesstimated that their 5 heaviest would go about 20 pounds and they caught over 35 fish and 18 keepers! They were catching them starting about 1 hour after sun up (About7am) through 2pm. Said they moved and tried different lures only because they were just trying to get bigger fish, but did have 5 keeper size fish, including a 3.75 by 8:30am. Big fish was over 5.5 pounds.KABCOT HERE WE COME!!
Sigh, wish I could fish it with you all. Kentucky Lake is my favorite lake and my father and I, may he rest in peace, took vacation time every spring and fall to fish down there.Ill be visiting you all on Friday and hope to see some giants at weigh-in. I will live vicariously through you all until I have the privilege of joining the family. Good luck to everyone participating.
Im sweating out in a hot tube to fight this damn bug that hit me two days ago. DayQuill is my new best friend for the next four day. Hitting the road in one hour! Clint, see you all there.
Tom, I hope you get to feeling better! That Sucks!Dan
Tom, You must be hitting the DayQuill pretty hard. Your post are always well written so now Im trying to not visualize you in a hot “tube”. Is that like a tube top? Be safe traveling. If anyone needs something I am in Room 101 at the Moors lodge.Clint
