Mounting trolling motor transducer

Looking for suggestions on mounting a Lowrance total scan transducer to my trolling motor. Trying to keep from having to buy the $200.00 transducer saver any help will be appreciated

So my opinion on that spend the money on the transducer saver now or spend it later after you’ve snapped your $400 dollar transducer in half- the Russell marine bracket looks ok but I don’t have any experience with it .

This is where graph companies don’t control their destiny as they contract buy transducers. They really should design the shrouds where they could be bought in a more durable design.

Since that’s not the case, spend the money now, or spend more money and time later after you break a transducer.

If you’re going to put that transducer on the trolling motor, spend the money for the bracket. Personall, the way the trolling motor is always turning, the images you get will be somewhat distorted. The down imaging transducer, in my opinion, is much for functional than the SI/DI for a trolling motor.

You’re correct, the keyword there is slowly.  Must of us don’t turn the trolling motor slowly.  What I was saying is that in a normal day of fishing, the trolling motor is moved quickly, back and forth, or moved to quickly to get a good, undistorted image.  It can even be moved too slow since the SI needs to be moving to create it’s image.

I would go with the 000-10976-001, HDI.  It will give you 83/200 (sonar) and 455/800 (structure) from the same transducer.  It uses the blue connection with should be available on the back of your depth finder.  I would also use the flush mount attachment (pn 000-10978-001), although it’s plastic, or a shield from transducer shield and saver
