new 26p fury prop

I am picking it up this weekend for my 08 puma with a 250 pro XS. Motor now has a 26p tempest. I have read reports here about how much guys like this prop and how much better their hole shot is. I have also read how guys say their hole shot is not very good with this prop. I do not understand why such difference. Is it because of the motor height and I may have to adjust? Thanks

I run a 26 tempest on my P II with a good holeshot and have run a 26 fury with equally good holeshot. Motor height didnt seem to matter to a certain degree. I think youll be fine, you may need to play with your pvs plugs to your liking. On that note let me also say that the fury liked to run lower in the water then the tempest when comparing topend numbers. But thats on a different hull. If you want to get to the full potential youll have to take some time to play with your jackplate.

Fury prop has the best hole shot for a Mercury outboard and its not even close in my opinion. Why others are having a problem………………………? Give you an example. I run a 27p Fury on mine and had 5 guys, 1/2 tank fuel, and tackle and could get on plane within 5 seconds or so.

gchagler !!! u can turn that 26 tempest in the summer time as well, i have a 25 tempest on my 09 classic. with a 200 opit, i want to move up to a 26 pitch, what was the adv of the tempest over the fury and how much did u gain thanks

I have a lot of friends. You need to check out my facebook page. It says I have 244 friends! I didnt give you no prop either. Though I will admit you did cheat me out of the best prop Ive ever had!

I think a 25 fury would be good in the summer also its pitched in between the 2 tempest props.
