new Lynx

Just ordered a new Lynx.  Has anyone had any trouble with a 45 in Ultrex on this model.  I currently have the 45 in on my ranger and it works great. I ordered the 45 inch but think the boats sits taller than mine.  Just looking for some people with first hand knowledge.  Also, I love this forum and how everyone in the bass cat family is so helpful. It makes me feel good about my decision to go Basscat

The Lynx sits taller on the trailer but about the same in the water as the Cougar, maybe even a tad lower. The 45 will probably be okay. My 52 is currently raised as high as it can be for fishing in shallow water.

If you’re wrong, it’s a simple fix to swap motors, that 45 will sell easily.

The 45 works fine a lot  easier to handle and don’t take up deck space.

I have a 45″ on mine as well.  No issues.

Sounds like you have her figured out but my only unsolicited comment as a former R-boat and fellow Lynx owner is that if you fish off shore structure in bigger lakes the 45″ will leave your head/prop out of the water a bit in rougher conditions.  If you are a shallow water/bank/small lake angler and/or plan to never sell the boat – you are good.  But for the upgrade charge – the 52″ (in my experience) is well worth the $.  I hope this helps and does not provide more confusion.
