you will probably never ride in anything else…good choice and congratulations
Mike,Prior to purchasing a 2001 PII a few weeks ago, I studied this forum for 2 1/2 years before purchasing BassCat. The forum was informative and most influential to buy this brand of boat. I do not recall reading any issues with the PII anywhere. For a 19 footer, it fishes like a 20 footer. Unfortunately, I can not offer you any pros or cons on the motor. Prior to owning a Mercury, I ran a Johnson FastStrike for 20 years. I hope you enjoy your new toy.Best Regards,Carlton Freeman (cef1965)

That is a real nice performer. 73-74 on top end and 69-70 tournament loaded. I was running a Yamaha 25M prop and it seemed to run best with that. There really are no cons to this boat. It is the perfect size and has a great storage layout. You wont be disappointed. Just remember when running this boat wide open not to over trim. This hull has great lift and does not need but about 1/2 trim to run its best. Enjoy.

Not a normal number but a number that showcases the hull ingenuity from BassCat. Vroom (with seat time), zzzzzzzz, set the hook and man are those deep livwells. Your experience will be nothing short of “feeling the rush”. Welcome to the family.
That is a tough set up to go wrong with. Like the others, think you will be very happy. Had mine (07 Classic) one season, couldnt be happier. The ride is awesome, just dont over trim as mentioned.
I have the same set up in a 2009 and I love it! I am very satisifed with it. Every members in my club were in awesome with my boat!!! They always said great things about it and often said that it was the best ride ever!!!
The only problem you may have is your friends with 225s and 250s on other brand boats will be mad at you when you outrun them.

Hes another member of a select group to push the newer style PII 75 plus. He knows his stuff. You PII folks your boat rocks and the support and driving experience out there is deep and rich.
You will be pleased with this boat!
