Sorry BCB. Petrino is in the mix, contracts arent worth much these days! There are several other candidates if CLM leaves, but Petrino,Pellini, and Peterson are the top names flying around.
It wont be long and Malzahn will be mixing in there somewhere. Though the contract for Petrino is double jeopardy. Hes loved and locked unless mutually agreed, plus the Petrino family seems hooked on Fayetteville too. Rumors fly and the hat hasnt left yet?
Petrino isnt leaving Arkansas and his 18 or 19 million dollar buyout is only a small reason. Its widely known that he likes Arkansas and his family loves it in Fayetville. Bobby is building a program that will have a great chance to be top 15 program year in and year out. The entire state supports him and i think he knows that. Bobby Petrino even said it in his press conference after he signed his new contract. He wanted a HUGE buyout so his name wouldnt be in the rumor mill for a job opening every year. Michigan will get the mad hatter and I hope for Petersons sake he doesnt go to Michigan if Les doesnt take the job. Peterson is a GREAT coach and he can have another great year at Boise next year. If he ever leaves he can do better than Michigan.
Peterson would be a loose cannon, imho. Hes got a good thing up in Boise, but will he ever truely be in contention for a BCS national championship? I do not think so, the way the system is now. He has a proven track record there, but at some point I would think he would want to try to challenge himself even more by being in a major conference. If Miles, leaves, I can see LSU stealing Malzahn away, and it could be a good fit. He knows SEC West, LSU gets the top out of Louisiana and hell put pressure on Arkansas and Ole Miss recruiting as well.If Miles leaves………96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
LSU will get who they want. As far as recruiting against Ole Miss and Arkansaa, please dont take this the wrong way but LSU rarely competes against these two schools for recruits. Miles family loves La, and so did the Sabans, but the almighty $$$ is king.
Tommy Tubberville. After they cant get anyone on their A list he will be the fall back hire.

Lost some good receivers and skill players to other schools.Of course, Auburn made out pretty good with Arkansas talent…Dyer, Burns and Ziemba.Dont think LSU doesnt look into Arkansas either, but with Petrino, that door may slam shut for the rest of the SEC. It is not a big talent base as Louisiana, but the three mentioned above all played prominent roles last night. But we have 8 more months to dwell on it! 96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
