Power Pole

Can a power pole be stored in the half down position? My garage is too low to store them all the way up. Any input would be great.

I & also BCB use the PK-M-2-6- P or S- BLK (P or S is for Port or Starboard) This bracket is mounted between the motor and Slidmaster or Detwiler JP. Sherm

Its up to you, if only putting one on I would probably mount it on the port side. That way its not in your way if filling the oil resevoir from the back of the boat Not a problem if your running a 4 stroke, but its something to consider.. As well to offset the little bit of extra weigth from the driver side when running alone. . If you fill your oil from the beck deck then thats not a worry either, and is soley up to your personal preference.

doesnt really matter. my last two boats have had the power pole on the driver side. if youre running 4 batteries, the oil tank is in the center.

Most boats that you see have them on the drivers side. Not sure why though.

I try to think of the guy in the back of the boat, I like to fish with the driver side aganst the bank. This feels more natural for me and its a strenght of mine, providing the wind. This is why I put the pole on the passagner side.

Ladder access is a reason to go right side.

that way passenger in back of boat doesnt have to dodge two poles

I would call Rich at Hydrilla Gear, he can explain all the differences. With the new changes that are coming in pumps, the 10 foot Blade model, and remotes, I dont know if all of us that have the current models are up to date. I love mine though and hope to put on a second. Mike

Sportsman has one 2 piece bracket that is a 1 piece on the Pro, there is a difference in the pumps but the Sportsman deploys just as fast as the Pro, the Pros pump is supposed to be a little quieter. Sportman comes In silver, Pro comes in your choice of black, or white. You can get the Sportsman for around $1200 the Pro is around $1600. Sportsman is great for your average fisherman I went with the Pro.Siggy comes in a variety of colors and looks awesome when you match it to your boat(see pics of Phil Addisons boat). It is drilled to make it lighter and again has a different pump.1 holds the boat well and small waves dont bother it for larger waves you can buy an attachment to absorb. 2 would be awesome for sight fishing, 1 will let the boat pivot on it so 2 is needed to lock it down. 1 works great for me and I dont see spending the extra money for another.Call Rich, he will hook you up!

The worst part is running the wires to the console and the bow but overall its pretty easy.
