When reports last month talked about a few boaters beening tossed out i had looked over my P -3 real good . So i Thought. On monday night going up lake at 40 m.p.h slowed for a few skier wakes and boat goes up alittle then down and in a split second my buddy and i are going sideways to the left. We are slammed against the side i got both hands on the wheel which is still going straight an he flys out. It felt like those little white reflectors before a signal light. Boat stayed level the whole time. Im stopped and I see him about 35 feet back . We both always where are red bass cat lifevests and he says he is ok. Steering wheel only has pressure to the left . I used trolling motor to get him and he has bruise on left side of his stomach and i feel like my back ribs below my shoulder were kicked fom his feet. I open the back lid and find streering fluid all over the battery. Looking up in the hose cover and find a hose clamp where the previous owner must have got a hole and fixed it himself. I am glad we were alright but 3 weeks ago when i had the wife and kid up at the lake it made me sick of just the thought of what happened. I called parts today and ordered the new hoses so it will not happen again. If you ever think something needs to be replaced just get it. And looking over the boat inside and out will save you more than you know. God bless the bass cat family. Sincerly , Brian Chance. Visalia, Ca Pantera 3
