Are any of the 4 rollers on the trailers supposed to be touching the boat bottom when the boat is on the trailer and strapped down ?
No, they will be close though should be free.
All the rollers do on my trailer is rattle when I drive over any bumps… I wrapped a bungee cord around two of them and that quieted down the rattling while still allowing them to do their job if needed.
On My 2018 Eyra I have the aluminum trailer option which I absolutely love. The boat is sitting on the middle roller pretty hard at rest and it is somewhat concerning. There is some wear on the gel coat from contact. Should I be concerned? I will follow up on Monday. I have looked at many others and owned several Basscats over the years. None of the rollers have contacted the hull until this one. Could be of no concern but I will get it looked at.
I must say this is the nicest pulling and easiest loading trailer I have had yet and this may just be a one off minor issue that doesn’t warrant concern. If it is I will get it remedied. If not, I will keep on rolling.

I wish I would have known about the aluminum option when I bought my Eyra. I would have that for sure. Maybe it should be offered in the catalog! I did read Basscat mention tightening the rollers by bending the tabs in to keep them from rattling.
The Aluminum frame option is very nice. It was one of the main reasons I upgraded to a 2018 Eyra from a 2014 Eyra. It is very well put together and takes nothing away from the looks of the package in my opinion. Here in South Louisiana we fish a bunch of brackish waters and the peace of mind goes a long way knowing I don’t have to worry about rust issues. I’ll try to post a picture for you.

Also, The aluminum frame upgrade is listed in the brochure on page 34. Not sure how long it’s been there but it’s there. Have a great rest of the weekend. I hope everyone is out enjoying the outdoors. I’ve got another hurricane to get ready for!

Shap, be sure you Continue to flush those axles and wheels if your in brackish waters.
Shap, The reason I asked the question was that the roller came apart on my aluminum trailer and the metal core of the roller scored the gelcoat bad. I tow back and forth from Fl to PA and PA to NY. I replaced the roller with a exact same one from West Marine. I think that road action with the weight of the boat on the roller caused it to come apart. The roller aluminum ear’s need to be lowered so that the boat is not resting on it. Get it taken care of. Just thought you needed to know.
Thank you for the information Bassinman. I will certainly get it taken care of soon.
