I bought my Sabre from Scottys Marine. Both Scotty and his mechanic are great. I live in Illinois and they are both very helpful. He might be on vacation, because he always answers emails and phone calls.

My 06 Sabre does the same thing. When I am fishing with the trolling motor down and see a big wake coming I try to position the front of my boat on an angle, so the wake doesnt hit the bow straight on. This usually helps me but sometimes the wake is just too friggin big.

I have an 06 Sabre and had alot of steering torque on the left side. I lowered it about 1/4″ if that, and it helped alot. That is the only way to help it without adding torque tabs. Just experiment with lowering the motor 1/4″, but mark the orignal postion with a marker or whatever you want to use, then go from there, assuming you have a jackplate on it.

Thanks, do I run the cable all the way up to the head unit of the trolling motor and down the foot control cable and then to the fish finder or is there a different way?

Jason, Thanks for the pictures. I would like to know when and how you run the cable through to the fishfinder like you said. If you can let me know how to do it cleanly i would appreciate it. Thanks, Sal

Can I use my 2″ drop hitch, upside down to give me 2″ higher. I bought a different truck that sits alittle bit lower now and if I turn my 2″ drop upward I think it would work, but I dont know if they sell a 2″ upward instead of 2″ drop or are they the same thing. Just want to be safe and know what BCB recommends, or anybody else. Thanks
