Get some numbers up after I get seat time in this Cat. Run pretty light, expect 80- 82 maybe little more. 26 fury

Got a new 2012 Eyra. First 2 times out my WP gauge worked great. Last week out I was runnin 4000 rpm and gauge read 0 PSI. Scared me half to death. Shut her down for a moment of thought. Started it back up, good pee stream. Got RPMs back up to 3000-still read 0 PSI. Pecked on the face of the gauge and it jumped up to around 15 PSI. Got with my Cat dealer, he ordered a new gauge. Called me back yesterday-new gauge in house, bring her in for swap out-30 mins. If you got a good pee stream, peck on that rascal. But again-thats the most important gauge on my dash!

Looks like you got that rig under pretty good control, even with a little boat wake. Great Job, great video!

Got the same 2012 rig in my garage. Congratulations! Had several boats in the past but this one is one bad Cat— with a personality. Still pretty new, only bout 10 hours on it. This is what I notice that seems a little different bout the Eyra, hope it helps a little. Likes to run the fury prop a little deep. Get the jack plate too high and you will know it with too much steering torque. I start deep at launch and raise jack plate till I feel torque on steering wheel when its aired out. Runs flat and doesnt bow lift as much as some others. Try to get more lift and you will just throw a rooster tail. Load your heavy stuff and fat friend on the left side. Keep your left gas tank full and run the right tank low. Needs frequent driver input over 65 mph, always correct left to keep it up there and balanced. If she walks to the right, you was a little late on input-dont get scared and back off throttle, trim down a couple ticks and she will calm down. Then start over. My Eyra seems to handle mild boat wake better with a couple ticks down rather than back off throttle. Watch the video mentioned above, good boat control-however I give more frequent and smaller inputs-always left. The Eyra will speak to you what she wants, kinda like havin a wife. Pretty new here, if someone else can give better advice I am all ears. Thanks for the read.

Usually fish Truman and have noticed the number of Cats on Truman is on the rise. Was at LOZ last month and lots of Cats on that water too.

Got a detwiler hyrdraulic plate on my cat. Love the thing but gotta have it. My basement garage doors are only 66 due to overhead ductwork. I trailer with my motor pretty high and have to lower it to get it in garage. Lot easier to find sweet spot with hyd plate and instrument on dash.

Well, thanks for all the comments and suggestions. Yes, I had an extra gauge installed in dash, jackplate position. Maybe that occupied the spot for pump out/security panel. Am lookin at all options, wired remote and sonic hub. Am checking dimensions on everything and might move the pump out/security panel forward of shifter. Doesnt look like there are any radios that have height dimension to cover that hole. I can make 18 gauge SS adapter for radio bezel at work, no problem. Trying to economize a little on this project cuz I really want to display Mercury data on Lowrance and it looks like that is gonna be expensive. Anybody round here displaying there Merc data on Lowrance??? Would like Merc info displayed cuz of thermostat issues in dirty water. I fish dirty water in cold weather!!! I can do this all myself, I installed Lowrance network-structure scan and 2 Lowrance units in my last boat-no problem. Thought the radio issue was simple till I took a closer look.

Just spoke to my dealer. Had to order new oil resevoir and cap. Seems if Mercury suspects bad caps went out, they should give a “heads up” dealers and individuals. Although I am not inconvenienced terribly, it could sure ruin a vacation in a brand new rig! Nothing around the motor should rust for a long time, its well oiled.
