I have towed my Caracal with our Wrangler Rubicon and no problems with handling or braking. The Rubicon has 4:10 gears and pulled the boat/trailer on the road and out of the water at the ramp just like my full size Ford.

    Bass Cat Boats:

From experience it becomes about the weight on the end increasing in relationship to the boats former setup. You may have to change propellers or lower engines, and that confuses people. They expect an automatic gain and since they dropped weight they should be able to raise the engine and gain, it may be quite opposite of their expectations. They actual weight and performance gain potential is still there, they have to figure out what maximizes it.

I thought this was common sense (prop and engine height) as it seemed weird that having a lighter boat would mean less speed. Always aware of the weight in the bow affecting performance as well. Been contemplating going lithium for the TM batteries just for the better battery life. Is there a Bass Cat recommendation for which lithium battery they would install?

    Bass Cat Boats:

    1. The stock rims are 15”

    2. The Pro Guide lithiums do fit the standard trays.

Is there a specific width or offset for the rims?

    Bass Cat Boats:

Remove 10%-15% per tire from capacity ratings for a safety factor.

I went to 38psi for each tire as I figured the percentage reduction was needed.

    Where are you located?

I am 60 miles southwest of Chicago…Illinois of course.

Is there an option to get something done to correct this?

I use a swim noodle, cut to length and sliced length ways and stick it over the top of the windshields and use blue tape to keep in in place. I throw it away after each use. a noodle will give about 4 cuts and I buy them at the dollar store, Works for me,

I will need more than a swim noodle as I can lift the cover about 6″ above the each of the windshields.

Long johns or flannel jeans for the butt, and gloves for the hands…easy peasy.

How many rpm’s are you turning? Where is the weight associated in the boat…a lot of tackle up front? How many batteries are you running? There are a LOT of factors such as what prop you are running, etc.

This breaker is from the factory, and this breaker is on the main starting battery. The posts on this breaker are 1/4-20. When my original failed I called and talked to Bass Cat service and what I had was what they were still using and this was just 2 weeks ago when I called.
