I agree w/BCB…. I am running a similar set up in a Classic. I am a fishing guide and keep the boat loaded often w/3people….only when I fill the live wells will it act a little slow getting on plane….Sounds like your prop is Buggered up rather than Bogered…… GHCpt.Gary Harlan (Harlo) USCG Liscd Fishing Guide Tishomingo, MS Roger Stegalls Professional Guide Service Sponsors: BassCat (of course!), Strike King, Falcon Graphite Rods, Gary Yammamoto Custom Baits

Well, theres a lot of posililities here I would clean it up real good with some alcohol and try some of the self adhesive heavy duty velcro…. I have changed the screws out on mine 2 times….going larger each time…(working on foot pedal/cables) . Think Ill try this next time… The last time I changed them I used some “GOOP” Marine adhesive sealant in the screw holes… seems to holding better….kind of like locktite for wood / metal.screws. This stuff is clear BTW.Cpt.Gary Harlan (Harlo) USCG Liscd Fishing Guide Tishomingo, MS Roger Stegalls Professional Guide Service Sponsors: BassCat (of course!), Strike King, Falcon Graphite Rods, Gary Yammamoto Custom Baits
I have over 400 hrs on my 05 Classic… Running the same Trojans I got with the boat……..use it 2-4 times a week guiding www.fishpickwick.com I keep a close watch on them and keep the fluid level up in the batteries… & recharcge every outing….almost scared to say anything about them….you know how that goes….. I think youll be happy with the service of either choice…win win situation…Cpt.Gary Harlan (Harlo) USCG Liscd Fishing Guide Tishomingo, MS Roger Stegalls Professional Guide Service Sponsors: BassCat (of course!), Strike King, Falcon Graphite Rods, Gary Yammamoto Custom Baits

I took some stainless rods and put between the slats…. keeps it open pretty good …I guess you could use aluminum as well. pretty quick fix……Cpt.Gary Harlan (Harlo) USCG Liscd Fishing Guide Tishomingo, MS Roger Stegalls Professional Guide Service Sponsors: BassCat (of course!), Strike King, Falcon Graphite Rods, Gary Yammamoto Custom Baits
This could open up a can of worms…..I am sure everyone has their little wrinkle on this. I am no different….I believe the following: You can MAKE the fish bite the bait…by fluttering the blades or “twitching” it Changing the blade size opting for a fluke or other plastic instead of the traditional skirt I have seen it happen, esp this time of year (no expert, but after guiding for 3 yr I have picked up on a thing or two) the bass get so keyed in on the shad especially by the size of the bait… I probably shouldnt post this but I am going to any way….you need to try the fish head spin when this happens….At times youll find that the fish take the bait in a funny way….ie; youre fishing a worm and most of the fish are hooked in the lower jaw….could be the fish were attacking the bait from the top…or maybe getting too good a look at it……we can only suppose and make an educated guess…..but thats what fishing is …catching is a different ballgame… My $.02 worth… GH @ www.fishpickwick.comLast edited by Gary Harlan on November 23rd, 2008, 2:29 am, edited 1 time in total.Cpt.Gary Harlan (Harlo) USCG Liscd Fishing Guide Tishomingo, MS Roger Stegalls Professional Guide Service Sponsors: BassCat (of course!), Strike King, Falcon Graphite Rods, Gary Yammamoto Custom Baits
Sounds like a caliper to me, might want to check the following: rubber part of the line. the mechanical part of the tounge….I have seen some of these that have been “tourqed” by an accidental jacknife of the trailer….it will hamper or stop the inner part from releasing… Take it to a brake shop and have them flush the system…take a good look at the brake fluid…..it will let you know (dark, debris) if the rubber is breaking down… GH @ Roger Stegall Professional Guide ServiceLast edited by Gary Harlan on November 30th, 2008, 3:51 pm, edited 1 time in total.Cpt.Gary Harlan (Harlo) USCG Liscd Fishing Guide Tishomingo, MS Roger Stegalls Professional Guide Service Sponsors: BassCat (of course!), Strike King, Falcon Graphite Rods, Gary Yammamoto Custom Baits
We see a lot of theose herre on the Tennessee river system…Not uncommon to catch several in a days fishing…never really seen them on a small fish. usually 2-5lb. Think its some genetic thing….Ive heard its where there was a sore or place where the fish was injured…because of the “un-uniformity” of the blotches…dont really agree with that. I have caught them in other rivers & oxbows in west Tennessee as well. There is a strain of White Crappie in N MS that has a dark stripe running from the dorsal fin down to the nose of the fissh….make for good pictures… Nice Fish! Okie, You can go to the menu on the LMS and select stop chart as well it will shut off the Xducer…..If I am not mistaken they operate on the same frequency….when the signals overlap…you get the “blackout” youll get it on bow someetimes too….if the other unit is running… Welcome aboard..little seat time will cure the chine walk….remember steer to the left….Cpt.Gary Harlan (Harlo) USCG Liscd Fishing Guide Tishomingo, MS Roger Stegalls Professional Guide Service Sponsors: BassCat (of course!), Strike King, Falcon Graphite Rods, Gary Yammamoto Custom Baits
Its a bad situation…..My closest friend and fellow Basscatter had the same thing happen to him….As far as engineering jobs go there was a site called “roadwarriors.com” I think they have been bought out by someone…there are tons of contracting jobs out there….try Monster.com too….The service industry is hurting for folks if you have any of those skills….welders/hvac/electricians…etc…will keep you and your family in our prayers…. Misr12m, you need to take it in and let a shop check the seals in the Lower Unit……vibration could have damaged them…. Bilge xducer…I have had really good success using the JB Weld. type epoxy . I would take some laquer thinner or Acetone and clean the area ….make a dam out of plumbers putty or modeling clay fill the area wth JB and place the Xducer in the well.. I usually take an old sock and put gravel , shot , marbles etc in it and place it on the Xducer….you need something that will conform to the odd shape….. this work for me….
