If its any consolation, I had the same problem and applied the same fix..
Sorry, Fly! Im lmao on this one. He got you good.
Anyone have a picture of Sherms plate?
I won a 200+ boat tourney on Table Rock in the 80s with one fish because of severe weather moving in. I went just outside the no fishing boundary, made one cast and caught a keeper then returned to weigh and pull out before the squall line hit. Take the money and run. Worst squall line I ever saw on a lake and the temp dropped 30 degrees in 2 hrs. Squall line hit within 10 minutes of take off and the fish completely shut off.

Not to get off track but Ive used TowBoat USA service for my Cat and cruiser. They are one of the few that will answer the call in severe weather. Whoever they are pulling, I hope it is an easy fix.
smbass wrote:Wow, some people.. they got big steel ones to do that and more than likely experience in that department. i will keep an eye out. we will get emYep! Really big ones. Probably not someone you want to confront.
Thanks, guys! Ill be fishing from the dock for awhile until I have the stability for a boat. Im about 2 months from being in my Puma. Im next to the Lodge of Four Seasons and share the cove with the lodge. I wouldnt mind fishing with either of you.
I use them when fishing cranks and other lures with treble hooks. My body was a magnet for treble hooks. I bought one about 10 yrs. ago and havent been stuck by a treble since the purchase.
Chuck, a guy in Chimney Cove has a Nortech 5000 I rode in a couple of years ago. He filled up at the Lodge and said he spent $2500/weekend on fuel. He took off those chopper props each evening to prevent theft. All these huge racing boats cost a fortune. There is a 72 ft. cruiser on LOZ owned by one of the boat dealers. The boats get bigger each year around the 13mm. RazorCat, power poles dont work well in 70-100 ft. of water.
Youre not the only person that trims too high when they go to a BassCat. When I got my Puma, it was the first underseat fuel tank I had on a boat and I didnt realize how flat the Puma was designed to run. I thought about changing engine height, prop, etc. when all it needed was trimmed down a lot. I spent half a day before I realized the problem. Once on plane, I just gradually bumped up the trim until the boat released from drag. When I looked at the trim gauge I could hardly believe how little trim I needed. Knowledge is a good thing and this board has a lot of knowledgable people.
It was like watching a train wreck. You couldnt look away even though you knew it would be bad. The shootout is fun to watch but you always know this is possible. 200 mph is insane on such a narrow lake that can throw up a rouge wave in an instant. This wreck was caused by waves and a freak wind that came up after the run started. I watched the offshore series at the lake a few years ago and thought several boats pushed the limits so closely that they almost went airborne. The last FLW here had several pros injured while running in the waves. They didnt listen to the local pros about powering down for this lake.
They still have to play ranked Georgia, Missouri, Auburn and Clemsom. Plus, East Carolina isnt a pushover. The ol ball coach earns his money this year.
When the Jaguar first came out, I was fortunate to get a ride at Lake of the Ozarks. The owner had brought it to the lake on his vacation and was fishing near my dock. The cruisers were out and the waves were up. He offered a ride and I couldnt believe how much better it handled rough water than my Puma. If you fish big water, the Jaguar is your boat.
The military has changed through the years but never the courage of its people. A great day to all who served!
