Bought the boat!!!! New thread to follow with a question.
Thanks BCB
Thanks guys,Looking in behind the gas tank I see 2 valves on 1/2″ pvc that come out of the drivers side livewell and are attached to nothing. I figure they are the ends of the 1/2″ pvc that go into the passenger side livewell to clean the pipes out.BUT, on the inside of the passenger side livewell there are 2 black plastic covers (screens) at the back bottom, one above the other. The water never gets over the top black thing. Like I said about 3″ total. If there is a valve for those exhaust pipes am I going to have to remove the gas tank to get to them? and how would they have been opened? I sure can not reach them. They have got to be below the pump I felt back behind the gas tank. I dont suppose BCB would have some sort of diagram as to the routing of the livewell system. Thanks again Clint
Livewells are fixed! The previous owner had in-fact opened both flush valves and put tubes from the ends of the pipes to the bottom bilge. Why I have no idea. Thanks to all.
Thanks bass1958 Ill check it out.
1998 Sabre Digital Omega 2 dash
Thanks for the replies,Justin you may be onto something. Ill check that out. I have a in-line breaker sitting on the shelf. Ill connect the wire ends and test it out.
Well the inline breaker at the battery was not the problem. I took it out and and connected the wire ends together. When I plugged the spotlight in the 12volt outlet went dead again, nothing else just the pink wire goes dead. Ill try to trace it out but there has got to be another instant reset breaker on the pink wire. I got under the dash but did not see anything.Anyone else got a suggestion?
Spotlight works fine. Thought abot the ground as well. There is a ground wire with a crimp connector that was unused in the wiring harness under the dash and that is what I went to first. Then to check I found a ground in another location, same results. To verify it for sure I will run a temp ground to the battery on top of the boat. If it was a bad ground I would still have power on the pink wire and I do not. Is the 20amp inline breaker from the battery to the jumper strip in the back of the boat the only overload protection? I know when I unhook it I loss power everywhere that I know of, but that does not mean a smaller breaker is not down the line somewhere that I cant see.
Well you were right! Ran a ground to the battery amd it works. Now to figure out why the grounds under the dash will not carry the load. Thanks so much for the help!!!
Id like to know also. My 98 Sabre has pieces of one peeling up but the rest of the decal is on tight.
that is what I thought. like I said Im gonna run a 12 gauge dedicated circuit up to the front with a 30 amp breaker back by the battery. any ideas what color wires courtesy light switch should have so I can look for them? The acc switch looks like it back feeds to the bow light switch since there were no accessories up front.
I have a 56# trolling motor on my sabre. Put it on 24v and high setting and I have to brace myself for how fast it takes off when I hit the pedal. I can not imagine what a 71# would feel like.
If anyone goes to upgrading let me know. My new to me sabre has a momo wheel and I would love to have a bcb wheel for cheap!
Yup I have the brute. I also have a 2,3 and 4 blade props. The 2 blade flies, the 4 blade is slow but never hangs in weeds.
